Anime Central is happy to announce our 2025 DJ lineup for Synergy. Synergy will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025. Come check out Synergy in the Grand Ballroom where you’ll hear tracks from some of the best DJs that Japan has to offer. Whatever your musical tastes, you’re going to find something to enjoy as some of Japan’s rising stars put on a show you’d have to go halfway around the world to attend otherwise!

About Maozon
Maozon is a music producer and DJ based in Yokohama, Japan.
In 2013, he entered the “SEE THE LIGHTS” remix contest held by ASY, a project by DJ AKi, STY, and YUUKi MC, and won the grand prize. The song “R.Y.U.S.E.I.” for Sandaime J Soul Brothers, which was his major debut work, won the 56th Japan Record Award and 2016 JASRAC Gold Award. In the same year he also composed the song “O.R.I.O.N.” for Sandaime J Soul Brothers which placed 7th in the top 10 highest selling songs of 2015 in Japan. He continues to compose and arrange music for major label artists as a member of Digz Inc.
Outside of his major label work, Maozon is an active composer for a variety of popular music games including Konami’s “beatmania IIDX” and Bushiroad’s “D4DJ Groovy Mix”. Independently he is a pillar of the Japanese club scene, acting as a mainstain in the drum’n’bass scene and regularly performing at clubs across Tokyo. Despite how active his career is he continues to enjoy releasing dance music with independent labels operating worldwide and shares his music production techniques on the twitch.tv livestreaming platform.

About Ryu☆
Ryu☆ is a dance music producer who quickly gained notoriety with his debut song “starmine” in Konami’s beatmania IIDX series in 2000. Since his debut he has contributed over 100 songs to Konami’s arcade music games. His specialty is making up-tempo dance music tracks with catchy melodies across a variety of different genres. Outside of his activities with Konami he has released 15 major label albums with combined sales over 150,000 units. Several of his songs have surpassed 1 million plays across platforms like YouTube and Spotify, including his fan favorite track “Second Heaven” breaking 5 million plays. His live DJ performances draw sell-out crowds at venues across Japan, and he has recently been receiving international attention as a DJ performing at events in Finland, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.
In addition to the music game and club scenes, he is active in the J-Pop and Anime music scene having provided songs for famous series such as “FAIRY TAIL” and “Yuyushiki”. In the J-Pop world he has been tapped for remix works by chart topping artists like GACKT and Dempagumi.inc. amongst others and was responsible for writing the theme song for the Chunichi Dragons baseball team mascot Doala. Outside of music production he is also active as a director at Pony Canyon subsidiary EXIT TUNES where he not only coordinates and produces albums but also participates as a composer and remixer.

About Tanuki
TANUKI is a multi-genre music producer and DJ based in Scotland. He first became active in the Japanese dance music scene shortly after starting to make music, with his main inspiration being J-Core. Over the years he has worked with various video game companies and record labels, most recently Riot Games Music for their League of Legends Sessions: Star Guardian Taliyah compilation album, and Konami for their BEMANI division games, Dance Dance Revolution and DANCERUSH STARDOM. He has also been involved in projects with Square Enix, Capcom, lowiro, Neowiz MUCA, etc. in previous years.
About TORIENA
TORIENA is a total-package music producer who writes her own lyrics, composes, arranges, and sings. She’s also active self-producing her own 3DCG modeling.
Her music is characterized by an alternative sound that blends dance music with hardcore and shoegaze, with lyrical content that has a “shadowy” feel.
Although she self-releases her own albums, she has also released music with labels like TREKKIE TRAX, Prototypes Records, and Explity Music.
Outside of her independent work, TORIENA has provided music of all genres for others such as idol group Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, beverage manufacturer ZONe, the games beatmania IIDX (KONAMI) and Sonic Team Racing (SEGA), as well as the opening theme composition for the spring 2025 anime series Maebashi Witches.
About W.T. Snacks
A name carrying much internet infamy, W.T. Snacks has been the host of his own weekly online radio show and downloadable podcast “Midnight Snacks” for the past 20+ years, showcasing a variety of music from around the world, often with an emphasis on the best electronic music from Japan.
Both solo and as half of the DJ duo SNACK ATTACK with DJ HYPE☆GIRL, he’s spent much of the past half-decade taking the IRL convention scene by storm, performing live sets at dozens of conventions like Anime Central, Anime Expo, MAGFest and beyond. The internet has always been his home though, and he’s performed nearly 100 online and VR events since 2020 alone.
An all-mix DJ to the extreme, Snacks enjoys showcasing the breadth of his musical knowledge in his DJing style, dropping a multitude of genres, from reckless rave, panic pop, warp house, future club, and hybrid twerk, to irregular hi-break, candy hypercore, nu-style festival sound and underground international netstyle. Always looking towards the future while taking inspiration from the past, expect a journey through sound that will move your body like no other!
About YUC’e
YUC’e is a Japanese Tokyo-based singer-songwriter-producer who is known for her J-future bass releases [Night Club Junkie], [Future Cαndy], [macaron moon], and more. She released her first self-distributed album [Future Cαke], and topped the Spotify viral charts and iTunes electronic charts around the world with her title song “Future Cαke”. Since then, she has toured in the US in Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, China, Singapore, and Malaysia as part of OTAQUEST LIVE, ANIME EXPO, ANIME WEEKEND ATLANTA, and Comic Fiesta. In addition to self-released works, she has also produced and wrote the lyrics for many popular projects such as Gakuen iDOLM@STER, Blue Archive, Lupin THE THIRD, Paripi Koumei, Carole & Tuesday, Vshojo, Hololive, Nijisanji, Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!, DENONBU, and collaborated with artists such as Snail’s House, Dean Fujioka, Moeshop, and m-flo. She hopes to continue spreading her music to fans across the world!

Anime Central (ACen) is the largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention in Chicago and the Midwest. Anime Central 2025 will take place from May 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
