Requirements for All Artists

To ensure a safe and professional environment for both artists and attendees, we require:

  • Proof of Training: All artists must have OSHA-compliant bloodborne pathogen training, with proof available for inspection on the event’s opening day.
  • Hygiene and Compliance Standards:
    • Hand-washing Facilities: Artists will have access to designated hand sinks, conveniently located outside restroom areas.
    • Single-Use Equipment: Only prepackaged, sterilized, single-use equipment is allowed.
    • Glove Use: Artists must wear single-use medical-grade gloves during procedures, changing them between clients or if contaminated.
    • Sharps Disposal: Please remember to bring approved sharps containers so that you can ensure safe disposal for your clients.
  • Tattoo Alley Setup: The space will be a fully enclosed area, with an initial inspection conducted before any procedures begin. Illinois Department-compliant warning statements (Section 797.600(c)) will also be prominently displayed.
  • Age Requirements: No tattooing of individuals under 18; government-issued photo ID is required for age verification.
  • Right to Refuse Service: Each artist reserves the right to decline service at any time, for any reason.
  • Tattoo Alley is strictly for Tattoo & Piercings, the sales of FAN-Art in any medium is not permitted within the confines of the Tattoo Alley.
