Steam all the way! What a bad move. And sony stock went up 8% at work. I'm sticking with my ps3 and 360.What were they thinking?

same as pretty much everyone else's thoughts. You think if people simply don't shell out the cash they'll edit out all this BS?

I only want a PS4 for Second Son and even so, I'll totally wait my usual 2-3 years for the price to plummet.

Does this mean that Sony/Nintendo are the only two in the console wars now?

What, Nintendo still is?

As it stands, unless Nintendo provides a monumental price drop, they are in the worst position.

I was referring to the Handhelds and their cash cows. As long as those exist Nintendo is still going to be in business. The Main console wars is hard to say because of opinions I guess but Nintendo has been strong due to hardcore fans I believe.

I liked the Wii. The Wii U is meh.

This might be the final nail in the coffin because outside of COD and a few other titles there isn't a lot that would keep the Xbox fans to not shift gears.

From the looks of it, I think I only want a PS4 and WiiU (if only for first party titles, ugh...)

Give it up with the Kinect crap Microsoft, please?

We shall see. Maybe they will make some changes during E3 after hearing the responses from gamers. But from what im seeing, they're worse than EA. And if all this is true...

And why is it called XBOX One? Seriously.

Haha, this new Xbox sounds like garbage! I never had issues with the current and previous Xbox at all. In fact, I played original Xbox just as much as my PS2 during their heydays.

The always online part is absolutely ridiculous IMO. As someone with over 200+ games (at least), I rarely play multiplayer. I want to immerse myself in a story and an experience but apparently I might not be able to do so without being online for some reason. I don't care about most online gaming. Does online connection always mean multiplayer? No, but I couldn't care less about on-screen tickers advertising new content or uploading game footage straight to YouTube. If all that info I just read here doesn't change, never will I ever consider getting that next gen Xbox.

Not exactly; the problem with the PS4 and Xbone is that there's too little of them known right now, so there's a lack of killer apps we know are coming out. Nintendo, on the other hand, has said they will reveal their new entries in Mario Kart and Mario soon and they plan to have them out this year. Then we get into how Nintendo basically has a year head start on the competition. If anyone's in the WORST position financially it's Sony who have had abysmal financial reports lately to the point of selling buildings in order to keep in the black.

Overall, I have to reserve any judgement on either PS4 or XB1 until I actually get to play them. As for Wii U, I can already say 'meh'.

They really emphasized that whole sports thing. While that is a cool aspect in itself, I think that to people it didn't feel like a gaming console anymore. I'm super curious as to how that whole NFL contract thing plays out with international versions of the system seeing as how that seems to be a major deal between the NFL and Microsoft. The rest of the world is just like dafuq???

I was excited at first, but the more I look into it, the more I think the 360 is good enough for me. I'm not sure why they think Fantasy Football is such a grand addition. And the possibility of being online constantly? No thank you.

Honestly, I hope Microsoft has something big in store with this console at E3 that might convince us "Okay I'll be fine with buying a friend's copy of a game for full price and leaving my console online just so I can have this..." It's going to take a lot, that is for sure though.

To people who aren't up to date with this whole fiasco...

The fees for used games is not happening.

The Kinect can be shut off and does not have to be used.

The way the whole used game thing works is that the "CD KEY" is tied to the disc. So if you install it at your friends house, you will not have to pay a fee, just insert the disc back into your box when you get home and you can play it again.

The system won't be as bad as people are making it out to be.
