We have these days sometimes. Best thing you can do is if you're hungry just try balancing it out with healthy food if you can.

It wasn't so much that I was hungry, I ordered two dogs..one wasn't one that I originally ordered so the owner gave me an additional one to make up. Felt compelled to eat it. :P

LOL. You can't turn down free. Well you can but its not easy. Free has helped influence healthy eating for me in the past. LOL

This Friday's morning weigh-in turned in a result of 203.75 lbs. I can almost taste that 200 lb wall.

You can do it! :D

I just got back from the gym. This is the first week I have tried running on the treadmill all three days. It was really tough on Monday, Tuesday was a little better, and today I did even better. I ran 2 miles each time in about 25 mins. That's about all I can take since I hate running! My legs aren't getting as sore anymore, but I'm having shin problems again. I think it is time for new running shoes since that fixed the problem last time.

I need my legs nice and strong for when I do my Chell cosplay. My husband is helping me create the longfall boots, so I'll be in high heels... high heel less heels... these.

If you have a gym that has a form of a calf raise machine, that is what I doing to help out the shins. Or you can grab a dumbbell and do isolated calf raises and drops. Also, stay hydrated! When I do my two day tilt on Wed and Thurs, my legs are cramping up near the 50 minute mark when I have moved to the stationary bike.

What am I doing lately?

30 minutes on treadmill. 1.0 incline, 45 seconds of 9/10 mph alternating with 2.15 minutes of 3.5. Avg 2.75 miles

30 minutes stationary bike, sit down. Hill plus profile, level 10. Avg 8-10 miles.

I'm so glad to see this forum still active, aaah. sorry I haven't been haha.

Anyways- I don't thiiink I'm going to reach my goal before ACen. But I'm ridiculously close that I'm pleased nonetheless(10 more pounds!! But this plateau is killing me)

Also- saw people mentioning myfitnesspal. I love it but I feel like it makes me kind of neurotic over what I eat, how much i burn, etc. Anyone else feel that way? :o

Ok so Im not overweight for my height and people say Ive been losing weight lately though Ive done nothing except eat less cause Im not as hungry anymore. But I came to this thread for a bit if advice. I have a little belly that I want to flatten out, not too bad, but still kind of self conscious about it. Is there any belly workouts I could do where I don't have to go to a gym (I live in a small town with no car to get to a gym) and doesn't require me to majorly change my eating habits. (Mom says Im starving myself enough as it is even though I eat regular meals -.-') Anyone got any suggestions? Im not sure Ill be wearing a cosplay where you can tell, but I would still like to trim it down just in case.

Came back from the doctor's today! So excited! After 6 months of Sensa I have lost exactly 20 pounds!

I am really excited because that puts me about 5 pounds away from my goal!

I am thinking of starting up again to see how much more I can trim away.

I would look for DVDs or workout tips from magazine. Before the gym, I worked out from home using magazine clippings and videos online.

In other news:

I'm going to the doctors on Monday I don't want to go but I have to see if I lost any weight.

Oh ouch I really comfort ate badly today. I also didn't eat dinner. Today was not healthy. Whoops.

Ah. I just realized I never did state what my goals are or anything. I'm actually focusing on spring break 2014 moreso than this ACen since the con is right around the corner. My current weight is 175 lbs as of Wednesday, and I'm shooting to get down to 130 by next spring. For ACen I'd just like to be as healthy as possible.

Also if anyone wants to add me on myfitnesspal, my username is kuudere.

It's not terrible to have one naughty day if you are surrounding it with healthy days. I didn't eat so healthy today either, but we had a family get together so I was enjoying myself. tongue.gif

I actually want to be right around 155-160. I don't think I've shared that yet either(and I don't feel like going back 20 pages to find out)! I am 5' 7.5" and have a curvy build, so any thinner than 155 and I think would look sickly. I like my hips and my husband adores my butt. I can't loose those assets!

I have no idea what I weight in at right now, nor do I want to know. I'm scared to look at whatever number will pop up because I don't want to be disappointed or discouraged. My clothes fit better, so I know I've lost something since my last weight-in. That's good enough for me right now. (ignorance is semi-bliss I guess)

On a side note, I actually think I may need to get some snacks for between meals. I've been getting really hungry between meals, but I've been so busy that I can ignore it until the next meal. I'm thinking that maybe I need to listen to my body and give it some healthy extra calories since I've been way more active recently and might actually need the little extra intake. I do have a protein shake every time after I go to the gym, so on gym days I don't get hungry between lunch and dinner. The other days though I may need to snack on some nuts or veggies. Not sure what exactly I want to munch on, but it has to be healthy foods.

Went to the Doctor today. I did lose some weight but not what I was hoping I would be but I'll take what I can get. Now back to watching what I eat again and switching my workout.

Keep on moving! What you do today is more than you did yesterday! Even if its dancing in your living room. :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

Great news! I am no longer overweight! Doctor diagnosed I was back to a healthy weight.

Seriously walk whenever you can. Not only is it fun, but it also keeps your weight on track.

And also, I suggest eating in smaller quantities progressively, little by little. It became a habit for me too eat less.

I'm less than 10 lbs away from my goal! I'm so excited.

I can definitely los that by ACen.

I've been having a lot of trouble lately with late night snacking though. Like if I stay up past 1am I start getting crazy hungry and eating a bunch. -_-

My job has been the biggest problem for me. Staying steady at 138 but would still like to see 140 by ACen. As luck would have it I start a new less physical job at the end of April. The best part is it has a on site gym.

I get that too, I'm a nocturnal creature. Know what I suggest buying? A bag of cuties-these tiny mandarin oranges. If you ever gett hungry at night, grab one of these cuties. Not only are they sweet and delicious, they are also really healthy!

I'm just getting back into a fitness mode, because, well I suck at following a fitness schedule. I'm on a general alternating upper/lower body workout schedule, but I am focused on conditioning and building my core back up. I'm a big guy, I played football in high school, so slimming back down in the midsection would be a plus. Hell, if I can get back to being under 230lbs. I'd be ecstatic.

I got a bag! Thanks! Haha, there's a waitress at work that always brings me cuties to eat, too, while I work.

So today I took my measurements and I finally hit my goal waist size! Things are going pretty well. I hate when I'm bloated for like a week because I can never tell if I'm losing weight. -_-

@Rondo: Hope you feel better, you.

Congratulations!

I still need to weigh myself. The one week mark from when I started counting calories would've been Wednesday night, but I was in a hotel with my boyfriend (since him visiting me in college is a pain and we have to do that) so I didn't have access to my scale. I get the feeling I'm not going to like what I see, though.

EDIT: Oh hey, just weighed myself and I'm actually down two pounds! Sweet!

I managed to break somewhat even after Kitsune. Thankfully, it only took a few days to balance back out, and now I'm back to losing weight. (Just shy of 21 lbs now!) Next challenge is gonna be Easter - especially with the food I'm gonna be making for the occasion.

I know i'm early, but Happy Easter everyone! He is risen. :)

I've been on a better roll in the previous weeks but Easter has cometh. Just ate some chocolate, okay better run that off! Lol

I'm going to be running extra hard on Monday morning after I eat all the delicious Easter foods! If it's warm enough I will run outdoors for the first time this year.

For everyone watching what they eat this holiday, make smart choices! It's easier than you think, and you can still enjoy all the foods you love.

TIP 1: Eat a few dark chocolates instead of milk chocolates. Dark chocolate has antioxidants, flavenoids, and vitamins/minerals such as potassium, copper, magnesium, and iron. The health benefits lay in the high amount of cacao. Just make sure not to eat too much since it does still contain sugar and milk.

TIP 2: You don't have to give up the foods that you love! Enjoy little bites of the naughty food, and load up on the healthier foods like salads and proteins. Just have one deviled egg, one spoonful of potato salad, one bread roll, etc. You will be full up on the good and healthy stuff and still able to enjoy a bite of the not-so-good-for-you stuff.

TIP 3: One sugary beverage. Just one. If you're like me and love you some soda/beer/wine, then you'll find it hard to resist having one, especially at a family gathering. As long as you stick to just one naughty beverage you'll be fine! Take a bottle of water with you wherever you go and keep filling it up when you run out. This one is hard if you're a pop addict like me, but in time you'll be able to ween yourself down to one can a day, then one can every other day, etc.

Smart choices like these can help you stay on track if you're dieting but need a day off from the health foods. I myself don't "diet". After a few years of training my brain and stomach to constantly make healthy choices and be aware of what and how much I'm putting in my tummy, I've developed healthy eating habits. I stick to these habits and rules and try to rarely stray from them. It's all the little habits that form the permanent diet that has helped me to eat healthy and lose weight. The tips above help mostly for when you're at a party, but for everyday it's more things like limiting myself to only water and tea during the day and only one naughty beverage at night, portioning out chips instead of eating them straight from the bag, making salads for lunch, greek yogurt for breakfast, snacking on cherry tomatoes, etc. Again, this isn't a "diet", this is how I eat from now on. I'm just very much against diets since for most people, in the long run, they don't work and you don't learn anything from them. You shock your system with the change in foods, and once you hit your goal and stop dieting you gain it all back. I've seen it happen to so many of my friends and family members.

Luckily I hate Easter chocolate. I don't know why but it always tastes weird to me.

However, deviled aggs always taste good.

Always.;-;

I've been doing interval running on the treadmill, 5 mins of hard running and 5 mins of speed walking. I actually did this for 3.4 miles on Monday and like it so much I'm going to keep doing it. It helps to change things up once in a while just to keep your interest.

I'm still too scared to check the scale though! >__<;
