Psychic Detective Yakumo: Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, aka Psychic Detective Yakumo, tells a story about a college student, Saitou Yakumo who is born with different eye colors. His red left eye gives him a special ability to see ghosts and spirits. He believes ghosts and spirits are bound to earth because of a certain cause, and simply eliminating that cause will let those spirits rest in peace. Being asked for help by Ozawa Haruka, they begin the investigation together.

Kuragehime: The story centres around Kurashita Tsukimi, a huge fan of jellyfish (kurage, a wordplay on the "kura/mi" and "tsuki/ge" in her name) and a girl who moves to Tokyo to become an illustrator. She moves into "Amamizukan," an apartment complex that is full of fujoshi (diehard female otaku) with a no-men-allowed rule. However, one day, Tsukimi invites a stylishly fashionable woman to stay at her room at Amamizukan — only to discover that the guest is not who "she" seems to be.

Bakuman: Bakuman follows the story of high school student Mashiro Moritaka, a talented artist who does not know what he wants to do with his future. One day he draws a picture of Azuki Miho, a girl he is secretly fond of, during class and forgets the notebook at school. He comes back to find that his classmate Takagi Akito is waiting for him with his notebook. Takagi tries to convince Mashiro to become a mangaka, a manga artist, with him, only leading to Mashiro's disagreement. Mashiro goes home and thinks about his mangaka uncle, who had only one successful series before he died in obscurity. Mashiro is interrupted by a phone call from Takagi, who says that he is going to tell Azuki that Mashiro likes her. Mashiro runs down to Azuki's house to find Takagi waiting for him. Once Azuki comes out to meet them, Takagi tells her that he and Mashiro are aiming to be mangaka. Mashiro then learns that she wants to be a seiyuu, a voice actor, and has shown promise in the field. Mashiro, once again thinking about his uncle, accidentally proposes to Azuki who accepts. However, she will only marry him after they achieve their dreams.

I was looking at this yesterday and decided that I'm probably going to look into The One Only God Knows, My Sister Can't Be This Cute! and maybe Yosuga no Sora and Kuragehime.

I'm looking forward to the second season of 'A Certain Magical Index' & to Bakuman. I've started reading the manga for Bakuman & enjoy it so far.

'my little sister can't be THIS cute'

lmao. that is an actual title of an actual series. someone seriously okayed that as the official title of something!

anyway, yeah, i'm probably sticking with the manga, but i'll give the bakuman anime a shot - best damn thing in jump since one piece as far as i'm concerned. if it gets a really, really HQ adaptation i'll stick with it for a while. or a super-cool intro sequence.

that robin hood and his 100 friend series looks like it'll have a cool art style.

i'll probably give that really dumb-looking gainax series a try, too.

hopefully i'll feel less like it's a fanservice-heavy powerpuff girls ripoff once i actually see it.

Hmmm.... I think Psychic Detective Yakumo is the only I'm interested completely in. (BEETRAIN DOING SOMETHING WITHOUT AN EMOTIONLESS GIRL WITH A GUN? :o)

Other than that- I'll try Togainu no Chi. But I don't have high expectations. And I'll keep an eye on word about Panty and Stocking. If I see many people liking it, I'll pick it up.

Nothing on this list really jumped out at me at all.

I think I will try My Sister Can't Be This Cute! but I don't think anything else on the list is really appealing to me right now. Hoping for more OVA selections when the 2nd release of this line up comes out.

I'm so damn annoyed how incomplete Toaru Majutsu No Index season 1 was, I'm going to be watching season 2 begrudgingly.

The World God Only Knows is supposed to be entertaining according to my co-worker, will check that out. Yakumo also seemed cool when I saw ads this past spring, something to check out I guess.

Hmm, it looks like Bakuman's the only one I'm really interested in, but I might give Psychic Detective Yakumo, Kuragehime, and Ironman (just because :P) a try. Seeing Letter Bee Reverse reminded me that I never did see the first part...

You Are Delicious seems pretty trippy, and rather unlikely to be a candidate for an American release. But if it were, I might rent it out of curiosity.

Nothing really pops out as amazing at first glance, but i will take a look at the next season of Sora no otoshimono, Togaihunochi, and Psychic Detective Yakumo. Should be a fun beginning to the school year.

I thought fall season didn't start until October for most everything or is that just a list of places you can watch them when they do come out?

Later (Oct is correct) I'll update them with links as the pages become active, the announcements were just made.

Watched the first episode of Panty and Stocking. In a lot of ways it seems like GAINAX is trying too hard to make this more geared toward adults. Still there is some of the over the top awesomeness that they are so good at. I'm going to give it a few episodes as GAINAX is really bad at starting slow in general. I'm not sure if I'll hold onto it. I'd give it a pretty mediocre rating after 1 though.

Pretty much summed up how I feel about it right now. I'll give it to about episode 5 before I call it quits.

Other than that, I watched MM! as well. It's moe crap, but I kind of liked it for the mindless humor it is. But like P&S, I'll give it a couple of episodes to see if it's actually solid or not.

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt i found seemingly try too hard to be edgy and hip, in turn failing at both. I like the fact that they were willing to go with a different art style for Japan, one that is far more "American". The jokes seem to want to fallow the vain of Bevies and Butthead, and Ren and Stimpy but gets no where close to those two shows. P&S just keeps coming with more and more of the same bad jokes never giving the audience a chance to "get" any of the jokes, that that there is much to get anyways.

MM!: guy enjoys being beet up by moes or other cute girls, the visuals, animation, sound, VA are all unimpressive. If you have a BDSM fetish you might like it alot....I guess that is there target audience?

panty and stocking was the worst thing i've seen animated in a long time.

probably one of the best examples of sex and violence not equating maturity. anime fans love to tout the over-the-top violence and sex as why anime is 'adult,' but this

is literally dumbed-down powerpuff girls with poo and x-rated humor.

great animation and music wasted on THIS. i was genuinely hoping this would be a pleasant surprise - it wasn't.

haven't gotten to seeing the subbed version of bakuman yet, but it seems okay. that's sort of the problem, though. it's an okay adaptation of one of the absolute best shonen manga right now. why this didn't get the death note treatment is beyond me.

it's up all up to you now, my sister can't be this cute!

bakuman was fairly good it does suffer from having the typical "I will be the best" lead character found in most shonen shows/manga. The comic nature of a manga about becoming a mangaka does loose something when it becomes a anime about becoming a mangaka, but it is still funny. J.C. Staff who usually has very good art (Honey and Clover, Nodime, Starship Operators) is solid but nothing thrilling, the animation simple but solid as well. I don't think that I would fallow the series on a regular bases but I might use is as a time filler.

Panty and Stocking was ok. Wasn't a fan of the story for the first half the episode, but I will give it a chance. The art is cute and I LOVE the transformation scene.

Pokemon Best Wishes is ok. 3 episodes are out. Even though I hate Iris, I'll continue to watch it.

STAR DRIVER WAS FABULOUS~

lol okay, I found it really good. It's my favorite of the season so far, followed by Bakuman. These are my main 'to watch' series, followed by the 'I dig it a little' MM! and then 'where will this go...' P&S.

You know, the more I watch Panty and Stocking, the more it is growing on me...We'll see if that trend continues...I'm still not sure if I would call it good yet...But catchy...
