Starhawk! Campaign has been defeated so it is now time to waste my life away leveling up my character in multiplayer.

Is that game good, in your opinion? I've read mixed reviews.

Still playing DS2:

It's very long and tedious. DS1 felt similar but I did free battles and I had no major issues with the storyline battles. DS2 on the other hand, most of the storyline battles are difficult. The game itself isn't hard but it requires tons of skill cracks and thinking as well as a variety of demons. Beforehand I could just have devil speed or flight and I would be ok, not in this game. Oh this boss is only weak against this one element so you can't have a beatdown party or a whole magic party.

Free battles are kind of boring in DS2 than DS1 but apparently I need a few to get skill cracks that were missed due to "must kill this before it decides to screw me over." The reason why is because free battles in DS1 were hard at times; DS2 they are mostly if not all easy.

15 people to help.....15..........or more compared to DS1. It was straight forward but in this I have to REALLY REALLY think to do the Power Ranger missions.

In DS1 I had it so if any party is killed I start over the whole battle. Guess how many times that happened because x demon was lucky? It's a lot more than DS1, a lot and I'm only half way done with the game! I'm still sticking by this rule but it's really not that easy.

The fact that I have to help so many people, along with the bosses, along with the sense of

really depressing deaths,

makes me feel that I might end up starting over near the end of the game because I didn't raise someone's fate a la social link style to the proper level =_=; And people say this game is easier than DS1! Bollocks!

Yamato why u so tsundere.....

I can't beat a boss in DS2; enough said. It's a cheapo boss too:

"Hey I have a six range attack AND I can hit you three to four times before you hit me once!"

So I'm taking a break and rethinking.

Are you implying that anyone over 18 isn't a kid and can't play video games when you were younger?

no i'm implying anyone over 18 isn't getting games and gaming systems for free ("free" here meaning from parents). but I mean that in a broad "you gotta spend your money now" kind of way.

Where did you get that Fuji? lol O.O

I read it as the fact that gone are the days where time was always there, and money was always flowing (from parents lol)

You and Xeno are lucky; since I was a child I had to always buy game systems or video games. Money "didn't flow," as you said and I did everything from odd jobs to saving up change.

I couldn't afford Sonic 3 and Shining force because at the time those two games were like 60-80 bucks even at Funcoland.

The only time they bought systems for me was to make up for failing as being a parent. Holidays were like 50/50; I either didn't get anything or they made up for the previous year. When they finally started (in my mom's case only,) getting games, I was working part time at school already and was mostly into Yugioh.

But I had a hard life -shrugs- so me being an adult is easier than when I was a kid, due to the fact that I can buy pretty much what I want, within reason, and I don't have to depend 100% on someone else for funds, outside of my own methods.

Such as doujinshi and porn.

Which is why video games like Shin Megami I used to play on my breaks when I was working.

To answer Xeno's other question, when delial said "23 and wished to play video games like the kids do," made me think "Oh so you can't do that at 20-30-40-etc.?" I was joking around; I'm never serious.

To be honest I play video games more now because I'm off/on from work than I did when I was a kid.

On topic, I'm almost done with SMT: DS2! I'm so happy but the routes are depressing: Human/Chaos/Law? ARG. Not only that but...now I know why this pairing is so popular.

tumblr_m3q4az067T1r1424to1_500.png

Xeno this guy is basically A BADASS N. Seriously...I......I can't describe him at all. His quotes are weird, he beats down people, and man....

man.

TL;DR: The game is REALLY AWKWARD in Chaos path and so pretty and happy and bad.

Err whoa now. Lol i just said where you got that from. Lol i didn't say i had it like that. I bought all my systems (except the dreamcast) and i wasn't able to get a SNES, NES, or genesis. My first system was a game gear. I had to trade my ff7 for a gameboy to play pokemon. My parents bought games for me every now and then, but i had to slowly by all my stuff myself.

Christmas? What's that? My parents told me santa wasnt real at 6. And i stopped getting presents at 11. 12 for birthdays. Im not mad or sad, but its a major cause why i have the hardest time accepting presents and stuff. Anywho enough about that. (cliffnotes, i fought tooth and nail for anything i wanted, nothing was given to me.)

And i know Hotsuin. He is a douche and i don't like him. Ill do his path way later. Im doing Ronaldo's now. Kinda stopped playing at Aloith fight. Very annoyed at it. So far behind...and i got it day 1 T_T

Oh man I got stuck at that boss for a while. I figured out a way to beat it REALLY easy though:

No spoilers: Use the extreme characters rather than the balanced ones and abuse them. All the bosses have one weakness so get nothing but that and abuse the heck out of it.

Also remember the storyline and what was said before battle with Makoto? That's a big hint on beating this boss as well.

If you turned your MC into a beat stick use him like that. If you turned him into a Magic stick use him like that. If you messed up royally now is the time to decide on how you want to use the MC; either magic or beat stick. Use the fate system; makes cracking SO much easier. I don't know how many times I missed good moves because I had to kill something off with the MC only, they ran into another team, and I just wreaked them so I wouldn't die.

Next boss is more annoying than this one; I had to redo the battle 20 times because I'm doing a run that if anyone on the group dies I have to start over the whole battle. After some demon got lucky near the end of the boss I just said the heck with it and kept on going.

If you let someone die you might have to start over; makes the game easier. I have no idea if you need everyone to get a good ending or not. I messed up with one person and I'm debating if I should start over or not because I'm near the end and doing routes. Nobody died but well...I didn't raise this one person up to lvl 3 on the fate so they won't rejoin me. :/

Yamato seriously reminds me of N/Silver if they did a fusion when you go through his route/storyline but his quotes are really really awkward. Like Naoya had a reason to be snarky and who he was; Yamato doesn't. He has the hardcore personality of Silver with the weirdness of N due to the fact that he's only 17 and basically runs everything.

I don't like him or Captain white-bread Ronaldo kuriki paths. But at least Ronald is funny. And Adorkable. HE'S THE SAME AGE AS ME.

I'm acting doing a much harder path...can't say what but it's not Law/Chaos. God it's hard.

Oh no I was mostly responded to what said person said; I didn't mean to imply/say that you had it super easy! I know you worked hard in life as well too. If I did I apologize >.< Nu.

I'm 28 and barely have time to keep up with all the games, you're not lame. I know the feeling for most part. Plus I own all three consoles and the 3DS so I have a hard time staying up with most current games (I do purchase some of my sequels to favorite series or if I think a game looks like a real must have, then yeah, I buy it.) I just bought the first Bio Shock recently for $10, now that's lame! LOL.

Back on topic, I collected all 7 chaos Emeralds and have a feeling I will plow through the rest of Sonic 4 Episode 2 in no time. Haha.

how's bioshock STVO? :o

Haven't even started yet, lol. I buy way too many games at once (usually when discounted) and many remain unfinished or barely played, I can't help it!!!

Yeah for the last two generations, I have bought all the major game consoles (in college my kind and awesome friends chipped in and bought me an Xbox Original. :) Good people!) When I finished college I bought Wii/PS3/360 because I was living at home and had the extra cash to do so, lol. This upcoming generation, I don't think I'll be as lucky. :o As a kid my parents would allow me only one of the major new game consoles so I picked Genesis and then N64. So I was a "tad spoiled" but not extreme, lol

Going back to the main topic, I just beat Sonic 4 Episode 2 today including Episode Metal (for those of you who own both Sonic 4 Eps. 1 & 2, they give you 4 levels you can play as Metal Sonic in.) It was a very fun game and I love that it keeps its classic Sonic feel. I'm hoping we get Sonic 4 Episode 3 next year featuring Knuckles and maybe one more episode after that. From there, I would like to see them make "Sonic 5" perhaps as a full retail title and maybe run it as a series separate from whatever their main 3D series is now. :)

I'm not stuck on him. I just stopped playing. lol I stopped cuz one of my characters (Jungo) got hit with a poison thing, and for some reason that annoyed me. lol And I always use extremes. Middle of the road sucks. My MC is a magic nuke. Right not I have him with Ice Dance, Elec Dance, and Drain. Then I have a 25% upping passive skill, and I have that weird green mini-boss demon that absorbs physical (forgot the name) that allows me to attack twice. My MC is death incarnate. Team him up with Fumi and Jungo, and I'm pretty much slaughtering EVERYTHING I come across. lol (Shame I really hate Fumi too. Makoto is the best to me. lol The only one who doesn't have a ridiculous chest. lol)

I can see Silver in Hotsuin, not so much N tho. N was "innocent", not so much Yamato. Silver (who is my favorite rival. BARELY beating Blue/Green/Gary) I can see. Absolute power, hating weakness and so on, but for some reason I just don't resonate well with Yamato. lol He is cool, just don't like his types in the long run. lol

And the Devil Survivor line seems to have more then the simple Law/Chaos/Neutral path most other SMT games have. I know the 1st had more endings. Tho most were bust besides the Chaos/Neutral/Law routes. lol

Wait why would you stop because of that? It's a poison boss. It's like if you stop playing Nocturne because of Mudo.

From what you said I thought you stopped because you couldn't figure out a way to avoid his main poison attack. I mean I hate the poison but it's REALLY easy to beat the crap out of this boss and avoid all of the poison unlike the boss after this one, which was a pain in the butt. I was more annoyed with the enemies using evil wave and double attack rather than the boss himself. He was nothing after I canceled his one move.

Which made me think that you set up your team wrong or didn't crack enough skills. I used Fumi/Jungo/Magic nuke MC/Otome and it was a cake walk. The only reason why I kept starting over was because I have a rule that if any team or demon "Dies," I have to start over. Which made me start over because demons would double attack and evil wave which would make me start over.

IMO this boss was easier than the one before it due to no time limit.

You have to fight this boss again btw.

You have to do Yamato's fate links to see the woobie in him. The best part was

the whole conversation between Daichi/Yamato and TAKOYAKI.

I was thinking "You're such a dork." Also apparently

Yamato is a yandere. Like a YUNO yandere for Hiro, which is why people think he's so gay. One of his quotes is "YOU CORRUPTED HIM! If I kill you all he will come to my side! Even while you're beating his butt he's asking MC to be with him.

He doesn't abuse his power, similar to N being king and all, and would most likely give it all up for his ideals/MC. But his ruthlessness/trash talk reminds me of Silver. But the "innocence," is more of a type of naive. Yamato is 17 years old but he doesn't act like a 17 year old, think like one, nor was he raised like one; since he was born he had to be raised in power and in the highest standing. It says this in the manual, cool enough.

What made me want to stop the game was

Alcor and people kept DIEING. I didn't want to do routes because of this.

I'm mostly playing this game for fanfiction's sake and I'm in New world route still. I'm almost at the last boss btw. The problem is that the battle now I hate fighting. Oh and Arioch. I am sick of using long range and double attacks to beat demons because of samecarm and long range. I love the extra/triple turns, not "oh long range single only."

Besides this game I'm trying out Tales of Graces F. Someone is trying to introduce me to the Ar series but I'm two heads about it. I might end up playing IB instead though.

I didnt stop because it was hard, i just stopped because for some reason, i just got annoyed i got hit with the pod randomly. Trust me, when i start up again, im going to run through everything. Like i said, my characters are pretty broken. My MC team can one shot bosses (if all goes well) auto skill+double up+race skill to up magic, with another "dance" demon, i obliterate everything. I play every smt game. Lol trust me, ive no problem. I ended up playing other stuff. Im going to go back soon.

I love the SMT series, but that feel when no 3DS. Nocturne was a really solid game on the PS2. I just never got to finish it.

http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/Teaser/Revolution/index.aspx - Also, Avenger and Male Mages are coming soon. Rehauled GUIs, 800x600 resolutions, and more. This is definitely a good reason for me getting back into this game. Does anyone else play DFO?

I haven't beat it yet either. Still working on it. Have too many things I still need to beat. Tho Nocturne is about to push up the ranks. lol And makes me glad I just got a 3DS. That and Etrian Odyssey 4.
