  1. I wonder how many times I'll find him this year...
  2. Volunteering for ACen '16

When you say Volunteer, do you mean an on-staff position? Or do you mean a non-commitment, "give back to the con" type of volunteer? If it's the former, I do apologize, however, the latter, I can help you with. If you're looking to volunteer at-con during your free time, we're always looking for people interested. You can show up as you will and you'll have the opportunity to work in a variety of departments. You may even walk away with some amazing stories and get to meet some awesome people all the while giving back to a con that you enjoy. There are catches, as there always are. You'll have to be 18 or older at time of volunteering, you'll need to have a valid ID and a con badge, and be able to work. There are a couple nice perks however, after 16 hours, you get a free badge for the next year, and you might even be conscripted to staff if you're so interested. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
  3. Countdown to ACen 2016

8 days, 7 hours, and 56 minutes. Less for me since I'm getting there around 11ish Thursday.
  4. Weather for ACen 2016!

Putting it bluntly, just prepare for the common weather of con time. Bring something for it being hot, cold, windy or rainy. Even prep for snow, that was a surprise. Sure it only lasted a few minutes, but it's not unheard of. Start believing the weather report around Wednesday. From what I've seen, that's the more accurate early report. Check a few sites too for an average.
  5. Convention Crashers

Let them come. Boosts our numbers to maybe surpass Otakon, we're close, but not quite. But honestly, I don't want us to be a con that ONLY want to remain PURE. If you wanted to be a purist, well, ACen is for celebrating Japanese Anime, Manga, and Culture. Which means removal of all English voice actors, most cosplayers since they're not Japanese as the characters they are dressed up as, many products in the dealers hall, I doubt that most were made in Japan, and so on. ACen is a celebration of Japanese anime, manga, and culture. The key is celebration. Let's all just party! My opinion, at least.
  6. ... I can actually see that happening. I don't have a clue why, but I can see it.
  7. anyone attending Depaul for Summer?

I'm not, but I do have dealings with the students. Lol
  8. What are your plans for ACen 2015?

Since I'll be staffing next year, I highly doubt I'll be able to pull off anything that I want to, so I might dust off my Jigen from Lupin III. I can't even remember the last time I wore it. At least I have time to find that black temp hair spray.

Possibly. I was helping with the backlog of bags between 3:20 and 4pm Friday. I was also trying to duck into Con Ops trying to snag (eventually stole) a ribbon. I was on the Staff Smoker's deck quite a bit, and I was in the Gofer Hole for a lot of time. There could have been any number of times our paths had crossed.

The con is over now, let it all out.
