  1. Please join us in giving a warm Anime Central welcome to Kyle McCarley as a 2016 Guest of Honor! Kyle grew up (but not really) in Kansas and moved to LA at 18 to study acting. After getting hooked on playing World of Warcraft with his buds, he found himself creating his own characters and decided that developing voices would be a very cool way to make a living. When Kyle was younger, he’d watched plenty of Cartoon Network’s Toonami where he was introduced to Gundam Wing (his favorite). But it was a workshop with Mami Okada from Bang Zoom that really got him into anime. Mami liked his work, started calling him in for auditions and eventually cast him in a few projects. When he got the chance to audition for Iron-Blooded Orphans, he was beyond thrilled. And when he was cast as Mikazuki, he freaked out. The new installment of Gundam? Yes, please! Kyle has voiced Shinji Matou in Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Aoba Kuronuma in Durarara!!x2, Helbram (fairy form) in Seven Deadly Sins, Cyborg 0014 (aka Edward Adams) in Cyborg 009 vs. Devilman, Kisaki Matsuribi in Aldnoah Zero, Egawa in Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea, Mark in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Ryota Watari in Your Lie in April, and Dr. Ogura in Ajin: Demi-Human. He’ll also be playing Hikaru in the upcoming Skip Beat. Kyle loves working in anime because it targets a more sophisticated audience than a lot of animation does in the western world, which gives him the opportunity to play characters with real depth. Your Lie in April is a great example, released last month by Aniplex – be sure to check Kyle out as Ryota Watari!

He was also the dream-sequence pizza-delivery bear in Inside Out, as well as other additional voices. Seitz also does script-adaptation and ADR directing—most recently, for the English dub of Your Lie in April. If you’ve seen shows like Steins;Gate, Romeo X Juliet, Space Dandy, Princess Jellyfish, or Deadman Wonderland, he done writ some of them words—or, in the case of Summer Wars and Wolf Children, *all* of them words! His directing credits include State of Decay, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Citizens of Earth, Rune Factory 4, Conception 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker (breathe!), Monster, Girls Bravo, and BlazBlue: Alter Memory.
