  1. Anime Trivia Trap: Looking For Contestants!

Hi, sailormoon846212: Thank you for your question! Yes—your mom would have to purchase a Saturday pass for the convention, even though the intention was to only attend "Anime Trivia Trap." Everyone needs a badge as they are traveling the convention. Registration can help you with badge purchases and all. I hope this answers your question; I'd love to see you as a contestant and have your mom attend! Let me know if you have any other inquiries. Have a great weekend! Best regards, Brent Rolland Host/Executive Producer, "Anime Trivia Trap" animetriviatrap@gmail.com

For those of you who are new to the game, this is the anime version of the 1984 Mark Goodson trivia game hosted by Bob Eubanks. Get ready as this year's show is going to be better than ever. 4. Anime Trivia Trap 2010!

Hey, everyone! I am so thankful to announce that my game show, "Anime Trivia Trap," is back for its second year at Anime Central 2010! For those of you not familiar with the show, this is the anime-based of version the 1984 Mark Goodson favorite. This is the trivia game where even a right answer can catch you in a trap! As the convention is roughly less than a month away, I would love your help! There are four—count 'em, four—ways to do so: 1) This is one area where I will need a lot of help! If you know of any challenging and downright good anime trivia, please feel free to e-mail me at: animetriviatrap@gmail.com Questions can be about any anime past or current as well as about personalities or anime news. You can do a question with four possible answers or a simple question/answer. (Check out vintage episodes of "Trivia Trap" on YouTube to get a sense of the style.) Feel free to include a "fun fact" in regards to your question, as well as the source (i.e. Anime News Network, Crunchyroll, etc.) from where you received the information to your questions. Don't forget to include your name as well so that I can credit you properly at the show! 2) If anyone you know is attending ACen this year and would be interested in being a contestant, please send them the below link to the ATT application instructions: http://www.ACen.org/forums/index.php?showt...t=0#entry889129 (As an age-old game show production rule, I can only accept applications from people I have never met before.) 3) If you are attending the convention but would prefer to volunteer/assist the game show, I would love your help! Here are the roles that I have available: – Gameboard Operator (runs the Flash game during the show. I will have the computer and the main game; operator must take direction well and be computer-savvy) – Videographers (I will need two people; this role is highly important! Videographers must have their own high-quality camera and will work with me on shots, positioning, etc. Also must be available to send/download unedited footage to me after the show.) – Photographer (I will need one person for this and the role is also important! Photographer must have their own high-quality camera and be able to send/download photos directly after the game show.) – Announcer (Every great host needs their sidekick—and I am looking for one! Announcer must have an excellent, audible clear speaking voice, and can also fill the role of Gameboard Operator if interested.) All volunteers will not only have a chance to use their talents and be a part of an exciting show, but will be properly credited in all post-game advertising. Other perks will be announced per availability and resources. Your help is needed and appreciated! 4) Most importantly, please spread the word! Feel free to pass this note on to friends and fellow otaku, as well as share this note or post about the game on Facebook, Twitter, Google Buzz, and any other of your preferred social networks. My vision is that "Anime Trivia Trap" is successful and becomes the first televised game show in history devoted to anime. While I'm not there yet, I am definitely starting on the right path!</blockquote> Please let me know if you have any questions about the game. Remember: This show is nothing without your fantastic support! Thank you all in advance for your generosity. I hope to see you at the "Trap" this year at Anime Central! Have a blessed weekend! Sincerely, Brent Rolland Host/Producer, "Anime Trivia Trap" animetriviatrap@gmail.com<Photo 1>

  6. Hello, ACen! I would like to strongly suggest three fabulous singers (and one really great band!) to perform at ACen '10: – Mandy Mefford is the winner of AX Idol '07 and not only has an stunning, distinct voice and stage presence, but her Japanese pronunciation skills are that of a seasoned professional. – Traci Hines is the runner-up for AX Idol '08 and is known to her rapidly-growing fanbase not just for her angelic voice and songwriting skills, but also for her various YouTube videos and her uncanny ability to perfectly cosplay virtually any Disney princess. (It's true!) – Pamela Moss is the winner of AX Idol '08 and brings warmth, spice, and vivacity to her solo projects as well as to her hot Californian anime cover band, Makenai. This band has performed at numerous conventions, festivals and events in the US and bring a powerful, quality sound to anime fan-favorites. Enough said, right? ^_^ Don't take my word—take a look and listen to the videos below. If there is anyway that these fine talents can be invited to the next ACen 10, it would be an honor. I would be delighted to take them through the process as well. Thank you for reading! —————————————————————— Mandy Mefford: http://www.youtube.com/user/MandyIdol05 Traci Hines: http://www.youtube.com/user/TraciJHines Pamela Moss: http://www.youtube.com/user/pamechan9 Makenai: http://www.youtube.com/user/Mapache9999 Mandy, Traci and Pam performing "Houki Boshi" from "Bleach": —————————————————————— Sincerely, Brent Rolland Host/Executive Producer, "Anime Trivia Trap" animetriviatrap@gmail.com
