  4. Eir Aoi Concert

Hi ACen Staff, Do you have information if we are able to purchase premium seats, for the Eir Aoi Concert? Thanks!
  5. Hi ACen Staff, For starters, I wanted to say thank you for putting out the Guidebook! I know you guys are busy the entire year making this wonderful event happen :) As for my question; are there tentative guest autograph times available? I'm mainly checking for Eir Aoi's autograph. Thanks!
  6. Seeking a 4th roommate (Embassy Suites)

Bumping for "time is of the essence!"
  9. Hey Steve, I definitely understand how you feel about rooming with strangers. It's a huge step and requires a certain level of trust. 2013 was the first year I roomed with complete strangers, and it isn't as bad as it seems. I'll explain more as I go along. Have you ever stayed the night with someone you have never met? How did it go? It went smooth. We set guidelines, space, and expectations up front. This can all be done in a friendly fashion just by being understanding. Just talking to your roommates will make the environment more comfortable. Were you the one needing a room or the one offering a room? Both. There was two years where I joined a room with all strangers, while the other year I lead a room with a friend of mines and two strangers. Did anything bad happen? No. Again, you just have to talk to each other, be friendly, and be on the same page. What information did you want to know before the stay? I would do my best to meet up, Skype, or speak to the person on the phone, before attending ACen. This way, you get to break the ice, ask any pressing questions, and won't be surprised the day of. If I run the room, I set guidelines like "Don't bring extra guests up, respect the noise level if people want to sleep, hygiene, etc" Of course this varies from person to person. Lastly, when dealing with room payments, make sure you're clear on how much you owe the person. If running the room, it's best to get the money pre-con, as best as possible. Is there any advice you would give to a first timer? Keep valuable items (wallet, phone, purse, bag, etc) near you, when sleeping, and/or bring them with you when exploring the con. If your roommates are veterans and you attended with no one else, you can walk the con or attend panels/events with them. Have a budget for food, spending, and emergencies. If you don't want to spend a fortune on food, bring snacks, or make your own. Lastly, get the ACen app, if you have a smartphone. Otherwise, they have maps around.
  10. Hi Everyone My room is seeking one more person at Embassy Suites. We currently have three people, inc. me (All Male), and the rate will be $113 per person. Our third person already claimed the pullout couch, so there's floor space left (Unless you'd like to share the pullout couch or bring a sleeping bag. Also, alternating from the floor and couch can be an option. Benefits: 1) Free Breakfast!!! 2) Free Happy Hour 3) The Hotel is directly in front of the Convention Center 4) For newer folks, ACen wisdom :) Parking: the hotel charges $25 per night. I know there's nearby parking garages if you don't want to use the hotel's parking. The parking is considered separate from the base $113, so you can either pay the hotel or give me the $20, the day of ACen, if you choose to use it. General Common Courtesy Items 1) Be respectful of others space. 2) Have great hygiene. 3) Don't cause any drama. 4) Don't invite random people to the room. If interested, shoot me a PM and we'll talk :) Thanks!
  11. Embassy Suites (1 Spot Available)

(Need some good nutrition to walk around all day :) 2) Free Happy Hour 3) The Hotel is directly in front of the Convention Center 4) For newer people, ACen survival tips (Will make sure you get the most out of your experience :)/>
