If you are as excited as I think you are, then heck yes I am as excited as you!!!

I played gen III in 1st and 2nd grade and will be playing them once again in glorious 3DS graphics in my senior year :,)

I can see why they would have waited for so long to update this gen, when you look at the sprites themselves, they were relatively decently developed and making good characters models in 3D of the aforementioned sprites would take a decent amount of time.

Anyway enough with the analytical side, I am excited and hope that they keep the same setup as before and still have contests, that was what made Ruby and Sapphire. I also noticed that the two cover legendaries look to be megavolved. I wonder if they are adding that mechanic to the remake.

Treeko FTW!

I know I'll be getting Ruby for myself and Sapphire for my fiance. We both never played Gen III so it'll be fun. I wonder if they're just gonna update the graphics engine a little or are they gonna use the X/Y system. Because the X/Y system is sooooo good. I hope they do

I grew up on Gen 1 Pokemon and have played every game in the main series since. I have only completed one pokedex and that was in sinnoh when I recorded every single dex entry. took me close to 500 hours of play time to get them all.

i don't know if I'll have that amount of time to dedicate to this remake but I will enjoy it.

While I'm really really excited for this remake, I also really wish they'd stop releasing a new game every year. It's not enough time to enjoy the previous game :/

Too true. I really hope that after this they will consider slowing production on new games down to about every 2 years. Would also give them time to develop more mechanics and different play styles or something along those lines.

I'm excited about the new release. I have only played Gen 1 Red, and Gen 6 X, and tidbits of Silver one someone else's Gameboy oh so long ago. I definitely will be picking this up. I want to see why people loved Gen 3 so much and can't wait it discover it for myself. Now which one to get..... :3 I'll decide that later. XD

I was surprised they didn't make a third game for the Kalos region first. Hoenn will always have a place in my heart since my first game was Sapphire, I hope they switch up the plot so it's more exciting.
