Any others interested in a MtG meetup somewhere at the con?

In particular, I was interested in casual gaming and considering modern and EDH formats (aka Commander)

It seems there was mixed results in previous years with having sanctioned, organized play. I'm really only seeking who would be interested in casual games.

The only downsides I predict:

1. You would have to know the format to be played and bring a deck
2. Unless there are Champions of Kamigawa cards in your deck, it's not Japanese themed
3. Judges would be unavailable.

Any others out there interested in something like this?

I always bring like 5 edh decks every year so I would love a casual format meetup

I'm confused about #2. What does that have to do with casual play at an anime convention? It's tabletop magic, set doesn't matter (Unhinged/Unglued... maybe.)
#3 also has a remedy, in the form of the judges rules website and chat.

I'll have my EDH's and my 60's on me for the convention.

I'm interested, I plan to bring either 3 or 6 edh decks along with.

I guess I'm being a little OCD about activities being Japanese themed because of the nature of the event.

I totally agree there isn't any necessity to meet this and I'd stay miles away from calling it a requirement :)

I will definitely be bringing some EDH stuff and hope to find more willing to play!

I would love to kind of watch and maybe play a couple of games to learn as I go.
