hello all!

I am new to the anime boards :)/>

I am on crunchyroll and blazed through slam dunk - does anyone have the ovas with english subtitles? i want to see what happens in the national tourney!

also any other cool sports animes like that with american sports - prefer english dubbed

maybe eyeshield 21, big windup, animes i would be interested are basketball, baseball, and american football.

steve blum (if thats how you spell it) is my favorite english dub voice so if he is in some great animes. you can send them my way.

i like the drama or some good action. anyone have streetfighter 2 v?

email at mjasiak22_at_gmail_dot_com and maybe we can work somethingout thanks

Not a sport you mentioned but I like Prince of Tennis a lot. There's a lot of episodes and it has a classic action series feel (e.g. facing various opponents with their own special techniques and figuring out how to overcome the opposition during the match). There's lots action, comedy, and characters that are lovable.

Giant Killing. It's a soccer manga with adult men as main characters. It has a 26-episode TV adaptation in 2010, though the series is still being written as of 2013.

Yes, Kuroko no Basuke is a definite must watch... and read, if you want to read manga, as well :)
Season 2 is being released this fall, and season 1, as well as, probably, season 2, is/will be on Crunchyroll :)

I haven't watched it personally, but I have gotten recommendations of the baseball anime, Major. Prince of Tennis I've also heard is good. Want an ongoing anime? Free!, about swimming, might interest you. There's a ton of anime about baseball. Actually, one is being released this fall. So there's a lot of options for pretty much every sport, except for hockey ;p

You must watch Kuroko no Basuke though. Fans of Slam Dunk have told me they love it just as much, some even more, than Slam Dunk, so invest in it ^_^

Also, totally irrelevant, but to MV, I'm cosplaying Rin next year for ACen, and you're going as Rei. That's awesome. Should be amazing! :D

There's a pretty popular swimming anime called Boku No Pico I hear. Haven't seen it myself, so I can't gauge it's quality.

nothing is quite as good as slam dunk, in my opinion.
i would recommend reading the manga, since the anime never covered the final arc, which might be the best part of the entire series.

hajime no ippo is pretty good.

Though there's swimming in it I wouldn't call it a swimming anime...
Free! is supposedly a very good swimming anime that came out this season.

Personally ( though it's manga not anime ) I like Crimson Hero. But because that is considered girls anime it may not be considered "cool"?

For mostly my own glee. Kuroko no Basket (Basketball anime) season 2 starts Saturday and Ace of Diamond (Baseball anime) debuts on Sunday. Kuroko's first season was excellent and the manga for both is superb.
