With just a few days left before ACen 2013, I don't know if Iron Editor will happen this year. Anyone know?

I haven't heard of the group planning on making it out. Usually an announcement would have been made on the org. Can't say for sure either way tho.

There are no plans for Iron Editor this year. We hope to bring the experience back at Anime Central 2014.

Meh, I don't see why this needs to be brought back. It's always just a bunch of people from a certain website coming together to celebrate themselves and how cool they are. I enjoyed it a lot when I first saw it in 2008. Every time since then has been painfully boring.

I brought some people with me to Iron Editor a couple years ago, because I remembered it being such a blast. The "New" Iron Editor was a 40-minute PowerPoint presentation on the history of the contest, which was nothing but a shout-out to their Internet friends. My friends were bored and pissed at me for making them sit through it and I don't blame them.

If this could be about AMVs once again, maybe it might stand a chance at being entertaining, but I have no reason to assume that it won't be just another group of bros onstage celebrating themselves, people who don't even like anime anymore, mind you, and are very open about it.

Also, these are all the same people who spent the last 2+ years talking crap about ACen and reveling in the decline in popularity of the AMV contest and the AMV room in general. Now we're rushing to give them a stage once again? I don't get it.
