How To Wash A Wig With An Ahoge
Posted 08 September 2012 - 12:24 PM
So I have an America wig (America from Hetalia) that I have not yet washed, and I've had it for a little over a year. Now I really want to wash it since it's getting a bit dirty, though I do not want to ruin the Ahoge on it since I've ended up perfecting it over the time that I've had it by using glue, hairspray, and an assortment of other hair products. Is there anyway to wash my wig without ruining the Ahoge? Any advice is helpful!

I had to look up what an 'ahoge' was first (and what a cool word that is! ), but since it sticks up off the wig itself, maybe you could try wrapping it in plastic and carefully handwashing the rest of the wig around it? Wouldn't be able to soak or fully immerse the wig like that, but hopefully you'd save most of your work. Otherwise... maybe try dabbing the dirtiest parts of the wig with a damp sponge and spritzing with rubbing alcohol to help disinfect it? I don't know, it's a tough problem! :/
