That is awesome, I just got my crystal ball tickets and I can't wait! I absolutely love waltzing, and will be at your workshop. Do you plan on teaching any foxtrot/tango/swing?

Swing and Blues are my specialty but with the time allotment I have Waltz will be the only thing I have time to each with efficiency. Would love to teach the others and if you have an interest in spending a few minutes learning more about tango and fox trot feel free to corner me after the class.

Single swing or triple swing?
Because I could always use tips for triple. :x

Single, triple, Lindy, Bal, blues and most importantly how to lead and listen to music at the same time which takes precedence any day :)

I think most people can learn the box step pretty fast. It's the promenades that are killer.
Still can hear my instructor - slow, quick, quick, slowww...
Or was that for tango?

I'm suspecting it's the Fox trot as that would be slow, slow, quick, quick...International Standard Tango would be Slow, slow, quick quick, slow...Waltz is 3/4 time so there's no quick or slow. steps on every beat. Rumba has a base step that uses a box step with Slow, quick, quick. same basic foot work idea as waltz but on a different rhythm...more comparisons then I intended. oh well, that was quite fun :)

Unfortunately I will miss your panel before the ball, so I will just have to bust out some classics like "the sprinkler" and "the shopping cart"

Question: I am recording a shot-for-shot remake of Rarity's "Becoming Popular" song from MLP:FIM for my web series. I will be Rarity in the video.

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=ys8gg-NKdD0

One part requires me in a ballroom surrounded by people in fancy clothes. Specifically at 1:11-1:19.

I do not have a ticket to get into the ball. I don't know how lit it is in there, anyway. Would any attendees be interested in gathering in the hall outside the ball and helping me with my video as extras or a camera operator? I can't run the camera and be in front of it at the same time, lol. Don't worry, you don't need to be in MLP coslplay to help. Just dress fancy.

Crystal Ball Tickets were mailed out late last week. You should be getting them soon, if not already. There are still tickets available online. Mailing is no longer an option, but they will be available for pick up at a will call location in the Hyatt. If you have any questions feel free to email cyrstalball@acen.org.

Currently online ticket sales are closed because ACen is NEXT WEEK!!! There are still some tickets left, they will be sold on a first come first serve basis while supplies last on Friday. This line will be separate from the registration line and not in the convention hall. You can email crystalball@acen.org with any questions you might have about purchasing tickets or attire.
