Given how indepth the game's storyline is (I believe it is contender for the highest amount of voice acting hours in all of gaming... and that's impressive seeings as the main character only grunts and calls his attacks) there are bound to but cuts and changes to the storyline. There's yet to be an announcement on when the anime starts airing (though I imagine the fall anime block is not out of the question) or how many episodes it would be.
I'm enthused. If only for the characters, Persona 4 has the best storyline I've ever played through in a videogame and it would be beautiful to see it unfold in anime form, regardless of cuts and changes... and here's hoping they gather Johnny Young Bosch, Troy Baker, Yuri Yowenthal and the others back for the inevitable dub.
Also, if the news of an upcoming animation wets your appetite for P4, do not fret, today being Persona 4 day and all, the internet is jumping with references and treats for fans. Check out this fanmade comic which intends to update every single day with the corresponding ingame events.
Tis a good time to be an Atlus fan.
(PS: As a P3/Strega lover, I demand that the trip to Gekkokan High remain in the anime! They'd never deprive the fans of King's Game. Would they!? WOULD THEY!?)
