First and most importantly:

The ACen block is officially open.

The rate is $139.00/night- single through quad and the cutoff date is Apr. 19th.

There are plenty of rooms available.

Due to a mixup on the hotel's part, instead of asking for the Anime Central block, you have to ask for the Midwest Animation Promotion Society (or MAPS) block. We will get this cleared up tomorrow (1/9/07).

The block was supposed to officially open today, but as many of you might have seen, they jumped the gun a bit.

Now that the Hyatt room block is open, we are discussing things with the two overflow properties and we expect to have them ready very soon.

On behalf of Anime Central, we appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this situation. None of us, especially I, did not see this remodel coming. In conjunction with a number of other changes that we have implemented for the 2007 convention, it may seem that we do not have things together.

Nothing could be further than the truth.

It's just that everything happened at once, it took us a bit longer to get the new stuff back in place where the old things were.

But I guarantee that it will be worth the wait.

There will be other updates on the forums, so keep your eyes open.

Thanks and we hope to see you in May.
