Anime Central’s 6th Fashion Show is on its way! ‘Khaotic Kouture’ will be hosting it for the second year in a row. Come see or be a part of many different subcultures: LOLITA, STEAMPUNK, CYBER, DECORA, VISUALKEI, AND J-PUNK!
FIRST: An IMPORTANTMESSAGE and the RULES. Please read this if you are interested in participating in any way! Thank You.
Khaotic Kouture 2010: Fashion Show Rules
Khaotic Kouture is one of the Main Events in the Main Ballroom (where stuff like Masquerade, Soap Bubble, Anime Hell, Concerts, and etc… are usually held) We ask that if you consider participating in any way, that you are serious and dedicated about doing so. Nonetheless, we want to have fun and provide an awesome experience for everyone!
VOLUNTEERS: If you are applying as a Stylist, Model, or a Donator you will be considered as a Volunteer. Everyone is responsible for his or her own supplies, outfits and accessories/props. ‘Anime Central’ and ‘MAPS’ are not responsible for any damaged or lost items. BUT don’t hesitate to contact a staff member if there is an issue. We will try our best to fix the situation, and hopefully we can prevent it from happening in the future.
MODELS: The Categories that we are showcasing are: Lolita, Steampunk, Decora, Visual Kei, J-Punk, and NEW this year!">CYBER We expect people to go the whole nine yards: Outfit, Accessories/Props, Hair, Make Up, choosing something that fits your personality to really get the point across. Everyone must follow the same rules that Masquerade follows when it comes to Accessories/Props!
We don’t expect professional models or actors. We will accept and encourage models of all ages, sizes, both male and female, and race. This is the kind of show to express who you are or who you strive to be. Keep in mind, this is still a show; If you don’t meet certain expectations, our Coordinators will be happy to send you in the right direction. Look for the info on ‘GUIDELINES/EXPECTATIONS’ (There are guides below for each category along with the Coordinators’ contact info! )
If you are accepted and would like to make any changes, the outfit, accessories/props must be approved no later than May 5th! Any Models showing up in a different outfit will not be allowed to enter unless approved by one of the coordinators! We cannot guarantee a spot in the show even if you were previously accepted!
We are not allowing people to join multiple categories to prevent a lack or dedication and confusion.
DURINGBACKSTAGEPREPPING: We have to abide by the Hotel, and Main Programming’s Staff: things can change in a heartbeat, so please bare with us, and pay attention to your emails, and Coordinators for specific updates and whatnot. We also ask that when you are prepping backstage that you don’t allow yourself to get distracted: keep your phones and any other devices off the entire time! If you need to leave for a quick second, please notify your Coordinator (let them know when you are back as well) If you are borrowing someone else’s outfit and or accessories/props, please treat them with respect, and return them to the proper owner. If the owner can’t be found, you must return the items to a staff member. Please be aware of your surroundings, and respect everyone around you. If we notice any inappropriate behavior, or neglect, we have the right to remove you from the show. Don’t hesitate to talk to any of the Staff members if you see something unusual or feel uncomfortable about anything.
STYLISTS: We are looking for many VOLUNTEERS that have experience doing hair and make up for theatre, salons, or any inspiring artists with an outstanding portfolio. Click the link below to view the application details:
DONATORS: This application is for VOLUNTEERS who are willing to donate something for someone else (just for the show), and is not modeling. This is a great way to get your name out if you are starting a business or already have one! Click the link below to view the application details:
