What is ACen?

Anime Central (ACen) is Chicago’s and the Midwest’s largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention. The convention is currently held in Rosemont, IL, less than 30 minutes from downtown Chicago.

As part of its mission, ACen brings fans together with guests from the Japanese and US sectors of the anime and manga industry, as well as gaming, cinema, and Asian culture personalities. The event includes a huge exhibit hall, a massive video game room, concerts, dances, educational panels and workshops, premiere screenings, autograph sessions, 24-hour video rooms, tabletop gaming and much, much more!

1. On March 21, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, who serves as the Chairman of the Seventh International MANGA Award Executive Committee, announced the Award’s entry acceptance schedule.

2. The application period is from Monday, April 15, to Friday, May 31. Applications should be sent to each of Japan’s diplomatic missions abroad (excluding permanent missions) or the post office box of the Seventh International MANGA Award directly.*

Anime Central is pleased to present an exclusive, limited seating Tea Party, hosted by Atelier Pierrot designers Yuko Ashizawa and Eichi, and Enchantlic Enchantilly designer Fumiko Kawamura!

The tea party will take place Sunday, May 19th from 1:15 PM until 3:15 PM at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, in the London room (on the international level of the hotel). An advance-purchase ticket is required to enter the event, and tickets are limited.

The menu will include an assortment of teas, sweets, and finger sandwiches, and will be posted here prior to the event.
