Just an idea to make the AP test a little less painful. If you are taking AP Biology, then you know that they picked the worst possible date for the test; the Monday after ACen. Anyone interested in a study session during the con?

Or I might be the only dork out there.

I am going to move this to the Chit chat section of the forums.

Oh jeez that sucks. I took AP bio in high school. Unfortunately, I havent taken it in college yet ;__;

If I have time (I'm on staff, and I don't know what my shifts will be) I'd love to help you out. Its been awhile since I took AP Bio, but I'm a real biology geek, and I might be able to find some of my old study materials from high school, and notes from my college bio course.

Wow I feel sorry for you, Selketleo :C My AP Bio teacher from HS was a $#!#@!%!@#@!#!@^&%#%$@!! No joke. He's soooooo bipolar and weird, he doesn't even really teach -___-

Sorry, every time I think of my AP Bio teacher I just can't help but rant a bit about him :\ Good luck to you though! You're so studious! If I were you, I'd just party at Acen throughout the weekend then panic-cram 10 minutes before the class XD and yes, I'd end up bombing the test. But like I said, my AP Bio teacher didn't really teach, so he didn't really grade our stuff either, so I'd still end with a B cuz he's just such a slacker teacher XD
Kasemei
I'd be in for a bit. XD

Honestly, who is gonna study at the con? Just ask yourself that. I had a Psych test the monday after youmacon. I brought my psych stuff with me and I never touched it. I was having too much fun at the con to even bother touching it. Plus, there will be so much noise and distractions that it will be hard to study. Besides, you should study A LOT before the con, that way you have free time at the con and then you can study more after the con.

Yea, this is a more practical approach. Study hard before the con, and maybe make little note cards that you can review from and take them with you to the con, if you feel like you'll forget throughout the con. Don't torture yourself by cramming it all in during con!
Lina
Exactly. Don't cram it into a weekend where you pretty much know you will not study that weekend. Like you said, you can take note cards and review on your way to the con and on the way back. Maybe if you are resting in your hotel room, you can take the cards out and review them or do that before you go to bed. This is a lot more practical than trying to have a study session at the con.

You could always see if your teacher will let you do some extra credit--research the disease vectors for Con Plague.

Heh. XD I know that I prolly won't study, but maybe if I make a study date I'd actually try. I've got my AP English test two days after I have the AP Bio Test. Luckily the AP Calc test is two days before ACen this year, and I don't have to take AP History this year, or I'd be screwed. XD AP History is on Friday of ACen this year, or I'd be in triple trouble. XD
SelketLeo
There will be tons of studying before the con, no worries, but last minute note cards and such never hurt. Anyone joining or helping, ideas for a time and place?

I usually end up studying for something at cons. Damn those Monday tests.

Ugh...yeah, the week after ACen is the first week of our final exams at my school. I'm planning to study like crazy beforehand, and then review on the train (three hours...) to and from the Con....then...hmmm.... I'm in college, so the exams are spaced out enough that I'll probably be good, after that.
