Humm...I'm working on a slide or something that would have like the "Commandments of the Glomp" or something, so if you have ideas for possible 'commandments' let me know. If I like then they'll be added to my list. I have also been sort of working on a sorta pledge thing or something....don't know why, but t'was something running in my mind all day....Something like what we can have for when we give out them honorary glomp badges or something...

HI everyone...I can't believe it...Child Nel is done!!! I think I sat up half of last night finishing the hand sewing of the project...XD

I chose to make that my one project this year to do completely by hand, with no help from anyone...(which I usually use the sewing machine and occasionally have a buddy help me with the more difficult sections). I'm so proud of it. It has a few spots that are ehhh... (mostly around the sleeves...forgot how irritating hand sewing them suckers are...><) but for me it was a labor of love that I'll be happy to have fun with at ACEN...
Now to get some new damned batteries for the camera so I can take some pictures...XD!!

Now that I'm finally somewhat awake and coherent I'm gonna use the time before I leave to go karaoke to start sewing my TARDIS sleeping bag for Acen And then Monday I can finally pick up a kimono pattern from work (Simplicity on sale! finally!) and so Thursday I'm gonna start sewing that.

Of course Script Frenzy starts on Tuesday so it's gonna be hard to keep up with trying to write a full length screenplay and do all the sewing I still have to do before Acen and all....ugh.

Basically it's the screenplay version of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) that I did in November. In November try to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. In April, try to write a 100 page screenplay in 30 days. Not easy!! But can be fun and worthwhile!

My day off today...day to get some sewing done but man I just can't get moving...methinks I may throw the fabric in to wash and walk to the brand new ice cream shop that just opened in my 'hood today and get me some Good Humor (yes it's a Good Humor outlet and it's WALKING DISTANCE FROM MY HOUSE!) Can we say DANGEROUS place for my figure and my wallet? Eeee!

Now I need to figure out a way to smuggle an icebox full o' Good Humor into the con...you can survive on nothing but those bubblegum baseball mitt icecreams for four days right?

KC is right ... we do just sorta hang out. Through the year we don't do much because I live in Utah and most everyone else lives in IL ... but that shall change soon

Right now our main goal is to really educate how glomping REALLY should be done ... as in, being smart about glomping, not glomping people in elaborate cosplay and only doing so if they specifically say you can. Just things like that. Glomping has become a problem in some conventions so we're starting with ACen to help educate a bit ... but while having an awesomely fun time!

Man I am so looking forward to Acen, but I have Soooooooooo much to get done! And it doesn't help that during a lot of the time I could be sewing or knitting or trying to do some photog/video work for the con or scout out restaurants for the guide....I'm either feeling like crud and passing out asleep or finding myself spending way too much time floating around the Torchwood LJ communities and fangirling my brains out Not to mention my Script Frenzy screenplay that I am DETERMINED to get a win on this year!

But the fangirling is so tempting....especially when you consider how evilly creative Torchwood fans are...the fanbase is just as entertaining as the show itself! They're making it hard for me to wait patiently for American airings though....of course tomorrow is THE Janto scene. THE scene...dangit why do I have to close the night THE scene airs?????


Anyway I'm sure y'all don't want to hear me babble about my one yaoi-like indulgence (hate yaoi but yet I love Jack/Ianto...weird huh?), so I'm just gonna try and get myself to bed and get some sleep!

Oh I recorded it, but I still prefer to sit down and indulge in the full six hours of Torchwood on Sat nights. Yes BBC America repeats the previous episode, followed by the new one, and shows them each three times on Saturdays. Sadly, there's only two more after tonite and then it's done for the season. *sigh*

But I did just get the new issue of Doctor Who magazine complete with audio drama starring Peter Davidson! Weeeee!!!! And I've got my fabric so tomorrow I can start tearing my hair out over my hakama.

Doesn't look like I am going to be able to get Kagura done for this year, unfortunately. I just don't have the time or money. Maybe, if some miracle happens and I get Rukia done quickly and I find cheap fabric and wig, I might. I do already have the parasol

You're best bet is to use a shower curtain for the staff part & make the blade out of cardboard or wood. I say shower curtain because you can collapse it so you fit in the 4ft rule & can expand it for pics. The other option is to use 2 dowel rod & find someway of connecting them.

I'm doing option 2 for the Time Key I'm making for my girlfriend. Mostly cause I paid $65 when I commisioned it & the top part came out great, but the staff was horridly warped. There's no possible way I can attach the top to a shower curtain.

I'll watch the anime again & see if I can't come up with any other ideas. Have to watch it anyway so I can make a wand for my Chibi Moon.

A few years ago when I was living in Louisiana, but I have no idea what episodes they were. Shinzo and Digimon used to be on around the same time, too, I think. And it used to be on Toonami. Not at 6 AM of course. =P But for all I know I could have those all jumbled up, I can't remember worth carp.
