To those still hoping to meet someone in this thread... Hey, who knows, maybe it might work out for you and the person you "hook up" with ITT will be your long-term significant other, perhaps even spouse. But, for the other 99.9999% of the people utilizing this thread for its originally-intended purpose... I'll quote Lord Eko from Karas, though with a slightly less-cynical undertone:

But hey, much like that one kinda-cool 90's sci-fi flick about the human race being imprisoned in a dream-world by machines in the future (which became a craptastic trilogy, but I digress), everyone 'wakes up' at a different age. It's whether or not you can accept it that's the question.

Pretty much. I made a few friends through this thread and others like it, but... my current (and in all likelihood, last) girlfriend is someone whom I met at a comic shop meet-up, befriended, and somehow won over. (she more or less claimed me.)
