Where:Hyatt Regency O'Hare - First Floor Lobby- Behind the elevators.**
**Please note- Our alternative location is the hallway in front of the main ballroom (First Floor)- where the masquerade, concerts, soap bubble, and other events our held. This will be used if the original area is excessively noisy, lines forming for registration, or there is a DJ located there like last year. I will attempt to have a map of the first floor to mark the area's later on- but please, if for any reason you feel like you might not be able to find us, PM me. I will provide you with my phone number- and I'll make sure you get to the right place!
So what is the forum meet and greet?
Its an event run every year that gives everyone on the forums an opportunity to meet one another, hang out, and talk for a bit. This is an all ages event that everyone, even first year attendees to the con, can feel welcome at. Want to meet that Otaku who loves One Piece just as much as you, but not sure you'll find them at the con? This is just for these kinds of situations. Also, you can make new friends, put faces to names (maybe even learn their real ones!) - and just have a great time!
I have decided to close the polls regarding where and what we are going to do at the meet and greet. We will be holding the meet and greet at its normal location (the first floor lobby behind the elevators) unless there is lots of noise like there was last year (*crosses fingers for no more dj's*) - If there is a lot of noise, music, people, etc.- we will be in the hallway where the main programing is held. (such as the masquerade, concerts, soap bubble, etc.). We also wont be doing games this year. Please if your coming though, add your vote to the remaining poll.
I really want to say that I am so excited to everyone and hope it goes well this year. There has been some talk about arranging a dinner afterwards for those not going to the 21+ meet and greet- but no firm plans. Lets all have the weekend of our lives!
