Anyone else see this? Funimation Sues Anime Con

Funimation is suing the convention AnimeLand Wasabi in Denver, CO for bootleg sales in their dealer's hall. Honestly I say good for them--I'm sorry but if you sell bootlegs at your convention--AND NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT...that's a problem. I know ACen has a policy on this, but I just thought it was interesting seeing this, and I'm glad some action has been taken. Any thoughts?

Though I am wondering...what is ACen's official policy on bootleg dealers/what are the consequences? I'm merely wanting to know for curiosity...not trying to sell bootlegs lol. XD

They'll kidnap you and your entire family at night and will toture every last one of you if you sell bootlegs. True story, I heard it on the internet, so you know it's legit.

Most likely, if you sell bootlegs or something, the convention will blacklist you and never do business with you again. That's just my theory.

They definitely should do this. It's amazing how long comic con dealers have gotten away with this as is.

If you suspect a dealer is selling something that is a bootleg, do not put that dealer on the spot. Report your concern to the exhibit hall booth (usually located near the ACen merch boot) and give the dealer name and the suspected item.

Good for them! It's not always easy to spot a bootleg, and it sucks for the people who buy them thinking they're real products.

Its like what the announcer on the Metra says "If you see something, say something." Besides you may end up with a poorly misspelled bootleg or one that doesnt work in your DVD player.
