Object of the game:
Several teams of no more than four race each other to find the most dragon balls. The team with the most when time is called (or when all balls are found) wins a wish.

Consolation prizes:
Each ball will have a prize attached (be it a gift card to food) or a discount at a vendor (if approved by vendor) or for ACen swag (also if approved) that the team can share (four tickets on each ball so that no one gets left out. tickets can not be combined. one ticket per customer or as the vendor rules).

Strategy:
Each team will have a paper with seven riddles. Each answer to the riddle reveals a location a ball can been found to narrow the search. Teams can assign tasks to their members, like a person to search and a person to solve.

Rounds:
The game can be held in rounds like elimination matches. The first two rounds can be held on Friday making it a total of four teams competing. From each round, the winner will advance to the final battle held on Saturday where they will "fight" in a larger area.

Final Round:
A new riddle sheet will be handed out. Time can be longer.

The grand prize winner will get the Grand Wish (tickets to the next ACen for each if approved...and hopefully provided by ACen instead of out of pocket...)
Second place can have a nice prize too...just not as good as tickets to ACen.

A rule about ball hiding restrictions:
Balls can not be in:
private areas/reserved rooms
restrooms
areas restricted to con-goers
congested areas like cosplay photoshoot locations (while the shoot is on going)
restaurants (or where non-congoers are trying to enjoy what little peace and quiet they can get)
parking lots/garages
bosoms e_e

Pretty much anywhere that will cause trouble for people and IRT...(yes IRT are people too though I suspect some have undergone robotic modifications)

This sounds like a pretty cool idea, but it seems a bit late to organize an event of that scale.

Also, it's Consolation not Constellation. You want to console the losers; they aren't a grouping of stars you can chart out. ;)

:D I've not forgotten about this desire. I have been collecting some items over the year for prizes and I can even buy the dragon balls. they're on sale for $25 at ebay. I want to make this happen, but I need to know what needs to be done to do so.

Have you got in contact with con organizers and asked them?

I would think messaging one of them or even find an email on the actual site?

I think, perhaps, the best way to make this happen would be to organize it as a quick stand up each day, or at particular times, perhaps a lead off panel early to mid day Friday to lay it all ou for anyone interested.

"Admiration is the state furthest away from understanding."
