Anime Central welcomes prolific voice actor Sonny Strait as a Guest of Honor!

As a voice actor, Sonny Strait is considered one of the most recognized in the business. Besides Dragonball Z’s Krillin he has played Full Metal Alchemist’s Maes Hughes, One Piece’s Usopp, Lupin III’s Lupin III, Cartoon Network’s Toonami Tom, Kenechi’s Apachai, Moon Phase’s Seiji, Black Butler’s Drocell and Samurai Seven’s Kyuzo. He has also written and directed many series including Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Ghost Hunt, Case Closed, Kiddy Grade, Tenchi, Claymore and Lupin III.

As a comic book artist he has 18 works in print including his efforts on the fantasy comic book series Elfquest published by both WARP Graphics and DC Comics.

In 2007 Sonny created a manga about a reluctant punk rock, faerie princess named Goat. The book, called We Shadows published by Tokyopop was nominated by The American Library Association for Best Graphic Novel 2008. It can now be found at www.weshadows.com and has consistently been voted into the Top Ten Web Comics many months running.

Currently Sonny continues performing Krillin, Usopp, plays the title role in the Xbox game S’plosion Man and the villainous mad scientist Dr Winklemeyer in Twisted Pixel’s video game Comic Jumper as well as several roles on Borderlands 2. Recently he’s been asked to reprise his role as Lupin III in the new series The Woman Called Fujiko Mine.

this is awesome. thanks ken :) My local con had invited him sorta last minute and he had to back a couple days later. I was kinda bummed. Good to know i'll actually get to meet him! N-not to sound greedy but since we have the original tom now how about we get the current tom? I've heard they havent even met. :P Definitely excited to see what the rest of this list holds.

Most of the remaining guests are VAs. Unfortunately, many of my Japanese guest plans have not worked out, so we may not see any more from overseas (other than the DJs).

Well like you said in the Guest Announcement thread, at least you're working on getting VA's since those plans didn't work out

Sonny is a great addition, he's played in a lot of great roles so this should be a very cool addition. I would really like to go to some of his panels. Thanks for adding VAs, those are my favorite kind of guests (seiyuus) included ^_^.
