ACen proudly presents up-and-coming Japanese musical artist, Yukino!

YUKINO (Born July 8th, 1991) is a Japanese female vocalist and a radio personality. She was born in Fukuoka, and grew up in Yokohama. Yukino is a rising star in Japanese music industry today.

When Yukino was a child, she enjoyed singing American hard rock, funk, and R&B music. By the time she was a teenager, she dreamed to be a singer, and started vocal training with a voice trainer. Before she made her debut, her songs were used as theme songs of Japanese TV programs due to her characteristic voice and outstanding vocalization skills.

In February 2012, Yukino made her debut, and her first EP "You make me blue" was released by Nippon Columbia (Columbia Records in Japan). "RanTiKi" is one of Yukino's most well-known songs as it was featured as the opening theme song of Japanese TV animation "BAKUMATSU GIJINDEN ROMAN," which was designed by MONKEY PUNCH, the original creator of the "LUPIN THE THIRD" series.

Her 1st full album "VOCALIZE" was unveiled in March, 2013. Needless to say, "RanTiKi" is the lead track of this album. You can enjoy her powerful, sexy and sensitive vocal styles in many genres such as jazz, funk, rock, R&B, dance, and ballad.

She's listed as a musical guests, does that mean she will be having a concert? Will it be at the Hyatt if that's the case? Interesting addition to the guest list anyways. I'll have to check out some more of her stuff before the con.

Can you give anymore details about the concert or are they not finalized yet? Such as the date/time for the concert, and since it's at the Hyatt will it be free entry?

The concert will be either Saturday or Sunday, and there is no additional cost. It will take place in the Main Programming Room (Grand Ballroom). I will let you know once we set the time of the concert.

I've got Yukino down for 2 shows now. Saturday she will be performing in the Hyatt Grand Ballroom at 4pm. Sunday at 2pm, Yukino will be doing an "unplugged" set, singing with two acoustic guitarists. I can't help but think this will be something like a jam session. Anyway, after the show on Sunday, Yukino says she'd like to greet the audience for a bit in the ballroom.

Both of her concerts were AMAZING. She seemed so funny and happy to be there. Does anyone have a link to her official webpage or a facebook or something?
I wish I had something clever to put here :-(

I loved both of Yukino's concerts :) She had amazing stage presence, personality, and vocal skills. I enjoyed her Jazzy/R&B style. I hope she continues to grow as an artist :)

I really enjoyed every minute of both of her concerts and her guest panel. She was an unexpected gem of ACen. I look forward to seeing more of her and I hope she enjoys success in her career.

I was approached by Yukino's producer about her coming to ACen to perform this year. At the time, I was well on my way to having a second major musical act come, so I figured I could at least give Yukino a Sunday performance slot.

Well, as it turned out, the second act never happened, so Yukino slid into that performance slot, along with keeping the Sunday slot. Wow, I was really impressed with her voice and presence on stage. Absolutely wonderful.

I believe I was told that this is the largest event she has performed. The largest venue at least (Grand Ballroom), if not the largest number of people (present at the concerts). I'm looking forward to seeing her career blossom, and should she come to ACen again to perform, I'll be sure to bring her band along as well.

Thanks for your feedback!

Both of her concerts were awesome! My friends and I love her music style and her voice. I'd be more than happy to see her again if she ever comes back to the states.

That's what I love about ACen; it turns obscure acts into favorites :)
The musical guests are some of the ones I look forward to the most. You can tell Yukino loves what she does through her personality and performances.
Also, I do hope we get to see her again, with her band :)
