Link is on the main page in the side bar to the left. It says KALAFINA TICKETS on the tab under the EVENTS bullet.

After all the waiting, I have my ticket!
Thank you ACen! :)

Got my tickets too! Not really quite sure if I ended up in 103 or 101, but at least as it is front row I shall be content. When wife had clicked the submit button i told her i was supposed to be 103 not 101 and she hurriedly changed it, so i dont know which one went through. Oh well. They charged my account so I should be getting something~!

There's no way anyone should be getting 103 seats at this point, unless there's another error with the system. That section was already said to be overbooked. I considered myself lucky to get 109 tickets, assuming that section wasn't actually fully booked but the system let it through anyway.

I ordered tickets on two separate accounts (my own and my boyfriend's) and they weren't ordered together as a group.

While both tickets are for the same section, I'm assuming we are getting assigned seats? Is there any way to arrange that our seats will be near each other? Would there be someone that I e-mail specifically with this question?

You will need to email Registration@ACen.org with both usernames and your situation. It is assigned seating and currently you're not guaranteed to sit beside him.

There were no section 103 tickets processed when we reopened, I checked and double checked. So it would have been 101.

So, I don't think this has been answered yet but what about people who purchase a one-day badge for Friday at con? Will there be a way to buy tickets for the concert at the convention since you can't buy a one-day badge online? Or are we basically locked out from the concert lol?

That kind of alienates a lot of people who can only buy a one-day badge and won't even have a chance to get tickets for the concert.

Thanks for answering my question. Not gonna lie though, I hope this doesn't become a permanent ACen policy for concerts. It was nice when everything was accessible to all con goers, not just online purchasers.

Well, everyone who is going to see Kalafina please have extra fun for me :D

Not entirely true: were tickets to the Crystal Ball/ Masquerade ball (back in the day) ever available at the con, or were they always sold out by that time? I've never gone to either so I'm not entirely sure how those work, but it's not like this is the first time that ACen has sold tickets through the registration system for an at-con event.

If there are spaces left they too are sold at con, it always depends on the capacity of the event and what we can accommodate.

I think they only did that once and it didn't work very well (if I remember correctly, the actual tickets never came in so they were using raffle tickets for it instead and may have given out more than they had intended).

As it is, the reason why this is a paid event is to cover the costs of us using the Rosemont Theater instead of the convention trying to shove us into the Ball Room. Which is nice on a number of fronts. For one thing, it'll allow more people to get to see the concert because, while I've never been in the theater before, I'm assuming it's a far larger space than the ballroom is.

Personally, I especially don't mind because it means that if the concert goes over at all, it doesn't mess things up for whatever is supposed to be in the space afterwards the way the concert messed things up for Masquerade last year (yes, the fire alarm caused most of the problems with it being cut short, but it was already starting way late because the concert that was in the ballroom beforehand ran late which is why we were only just then getting seated when the alarms went off).

Hi guys - I want to thank you again for your patience, understanding, and well thought expressions of anger (seriously!) versus just attacking staff. This was a crazy new thing for us to do and there were learning experiences for IT from it.

I want to let you know - since it was expressed a few times here - what we've done to prevent the same issue next time:

For large scale traffic events like this we will be creating a secondary server to load balance off of. This has already proved a great benefit as Saturday's re-launch did not have the same outage problems.

The programming for the ticket purchase process has been recoded to provide more lockouts (like Ticketmaster) so that even should the site have issues a space cannot be double sold.

There are other more technical things that we are updating as well - and we look forward to the next awesome event launch running smoothly and happily for all.

When will details for picking up the tickets be announced? Will we need to have our badge in order to pick them up?

I don't really understand why people are flipping out about this becoming a "permanent policy" or whatever. We have a free concert like always this year too. It's not like those are going away. This was done so more people could see Kalafina, because the capacity of the Rosemont theatre is much higher than the capacity of the grand ballroom. It's not like this is some horrible money-grubbing tactic and I'm kind of tired of all the complaints. If you hate this system so much, don't support it and just go to Yukino's concert (which I am super excited for as well, btw) instead.

I think it's been said officially that this was done mainly at the request of Kalafina because they wanted a venue with proper acoustics for a live performance. I just wonder if they'll fill the place. They did sell out when they were at AX two years ago but that venue was much smaller then the Akoo combined with a bigger JP guests/musics acts fandom on the west coast.

I'm just wondering if seats or anything have been assigned yet? In the email I received about the overbooking of section 103, it sounds like confirmation of who I bought tickets for was requested; I replied but haven't heard anything back yet. Should I have seat assignments by now or is ACen still working on that?

I agree. As for the alternate like doing tickets by raffle or at-con waiting in line for such a big name artist, that is a ridiculous prospect. If I was going to see Kalafina at any other venue in Japan, I'd pay $80-100 easy the day sales came out online, purchase my ticket either online before the servers overloaded, through auction, or if I'm lucky enough purchase it at a conbini ticket machine. To put it another way if you were to see [insert American band here] at Madison Square Garden (or heck, even Japanese bands...like L'Arc last year) you would be purchasing your ticket online when they went on sale (and curse yourself that you are stuck paying [insert popular ticket retailer]'s tacked on extra fees because there's no way you'd get a ticket otherwise), not expect to show up day of performance and get a ticket at the box office for what you anticipate to be a sold-out performance.

Very proud of ACen in that regard, making this a very professional experience (and we'll see how the final product turns out next week). I get to purchase the equivalent of an $80 ticket ($50 badge plus $30), get to do it online and avoid the anguish, get assigned seating just like I would with a "real" concert (despite the minor server hiccup which is definitely just a learning experience and a way to improve) and show up to a "real" venue that isn't standing room in the Hyatt ballroom (not to say those concerts aren't fun, they are pretty awesome for what they are as well). And I get a "free con" included with concert ticket :P/>

I believe we will need our badges when we pick up the tickets. But I don't know when the details will be released - I'm wondering / anxious to know as well!

Oh okay, the Rosemont Theatre is right down the street. Don't know why I thought it was much further.
Anyways, I hope there will be some tickets left.

Plenty of tickets left to sell. It looks like we will also be selling some of the tickets in the reg hall on Thursday. We'll have specific sections available there and others at the Rosemont Theatre box office. Tickets will essentially be sold from the front of the section to the back, and the tickets will be issued immediately.

Sweet! On Friday, will Kalafina tickets also be sold in the reg hall or just Thursday?
