2014 Conventions Where are you planning on going?

I am already looking/planning next year events (and budget!) and am thinking of going to another convention or two, and was wondering "What other people were thinking of going to?". I'm not one for small conventions myself (think the size of Nebraskon or AI as small) but I would completely rule them out. I tend to go to these things alone, and so I'd love to know if my ACen family was planning on going to other conventions. This way maybe I can meet up with some people I know, and dont have to start from scratch with friends. I'll include a list of some of the ones I'm thinking of below, but please mention any others if you want or if your planning on going to any of the ones I've listed.

Ones I've been thinking about:

OtakonVegas - Las Vegas, NV - January 3-5, 2014
AnimePunch Armagddicon - Columbus, OH - Spring TBA
Midwest Media Expo (Sister to Youmacon) - Spring 2014
Anime Iowa - Iowa City, IA - July/August TBA
Otakon- Baltimore,MD - August TBA
YoumaCon - Detroit, MI - 1st Weekend November

Youma is always a potential maybe for me, depending on if I have the money and if I can work it into my school schedule.

I also highly recommend JAFAX. It's a small Michigan con with free attendance. I always go for 1 day (thus avoiding getting a hotel) and have a great time every year.

Only for sure ones will be ACen, SDCC, Anime Iowa, and Nebraskon. Might go back to Naka-Kon unless I find another good February/March convention.

For me its always been c2e2 and ACen. If I have enough time perhaps I can squeeze in another con or two. Timing is important.

I thought about it- but I put it in Chit Chat because its more of a chat like thread. I'm not really advertising any particular convention- more looking at what other people are going to. If somebody feels like it should be moved go ahead.

2014 will be convention lite for me. I'll probably only do ACen but I really want to do Anime Midwest as well. Just depends on how my search for a new job goes and if I can get the time off. I want to do Youmacon and Colossalcon too if I can make it happen

ACen is my only convention planned for 2013, and wouldn't be surprised if it's the only one I go to in 2014 as well.

Youmacon left a real bad taste in my mouth last year, so I doubt I'll ever go back, even though it's my hometown con and was my first back in 2006.

Most likely I'll be going to ACen and Otakon next year. Same ones I'm going to this year.

Hi everyone!!

I recently went to Sakura-con ("SAOkura con" me and my friends call it due to the amount of SAO Sword Art online cosplayers and their guest line up).. Honestly, I had an awesome experience down there. I met alot of interesting people, cosplayers and of course their awesome Japanese guests Eir Aoi and Luna Haruna. Unfortunately, they didn't have LiSA on their line up :(.. Anyway, as of today im currently working my butt off in order to save enough budget for Anime Expo and Anime Revolution. Btw, Has anyone been to AR last year? I was unable to go due to my research thesis project last year ;A;..
