Dear ACen Patrons,

I was curious if anyone would be interested in going out to a local Japanese Karaoke Joint in Mt. Prospect to sing your heart out Anime songs??? the establishment is called karaoke Nina. Lately I have been going on Friday/Saturday. They have a giant list of old and up to date anime songs. Anyone interested, lemme know. I think this would be a good icebreaker to meet new people and show our common interest in Anime (^0^)

Thank you S1NN3R. that is the place that has been Yelpped. Karaoke House Nina may cater to the Japanese business man, but I have had the experience of making those guys reminisce about their childhood while singing old anime songs. they get really joyful and applaud if you pick the right anime to sing. Also, for the Gentlemen, there is one Lady in Particular that works there that is a GIANT Anime/ Manga fan. I am curious to see who is willing to sweep her off her feet with their anime knowledge? FYI, she is also looking for 3DS Animal Crossing pals to sync up with.

What are some of the older anime songs that they have in their collection.
If a group goes for karaoke I would be game to go also.

The Anime song list at this place is vast!!! I cannot tell you what they don't have atm.........I have sang songs as old as Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Fist of the North Star, Dragon Ball, Urusei Yatsura, Fushigi Yuugi, Yu Yu Hakusho, Doraemon, Ranma 1/2, maison Ikkoku, crayon shin chan, Galaxy Express 999....... the list just goes on forever!!!!! Now the question would be, which Saturday is good for everyone here this month???I think this week would be too short notice, so how about next saturday??

Are the anime songs in romaji or in kanji?

Ack, I'm so outta practice, I don't know if I'd be able to do it even with furigana...love the idea of free ramen, though. Maybe I could nail Real Folk Blues...

This place is surprisingly close to where I live. I don't know if I can make it next Saturday, but I'd be down for this in the future.

We definitely should try and plan out a day to go out to this place and sing in the near future.
