Greetings all,

I've been fighting with myself over how much to charge for these concert tickets. I do dislike the idea of charging more for a concert event at Anime Central, but in the end with all things considered, I've decided that I will not be offering any free seating for the Kalafina concert. Now that I've said that, here is the breakdown of ticket prices:

Main Floor, Front and Middle Sections (1459 seats + 24 wheelchair): $30
Main Floor, Back Sections (755 seats): $20
Balcony, Front and Back Sections (2062 seats + 20 wheelchair): $20

Keep in mind that these prices are set knowing that you have already paid for an ACen weekend badge. My primary goal in charging for the concert is to offset the cost of the outside venue; not to generate revenue for ACen. A note to attendees who would like to come to ACen only for the Kalafina concert: only full weekend badges are available before the convention and concert tickets are priced accordingly. There will be no one day badges available before con.

You must have an ACen badge on your acen.org account (not forums account) to purchase a concert ticket.

I do not yet have a date when tickets will go on sale. We are still working on setting up our system to take orders for the Rosemont Theatre's seating. I will give everyone at least one week notice before tickets go on sale.

I met with the Rosemont Theatre people over the weekend (yes, Rosemont Theatre again - it's no longer the Akoo), and I have some more information about how ticketing will work.

Unfortunately, due to the Rosemont Theatre's contract with TicketMaster, we will not be able to sell individual seats to the concert through our purchase system. Instead, our best option is to sell tickets by section, with the earliest purchases being assigned the best seats in the section. In this case, best is defined as most forward and centrally located. Tickets purchased together will be in consecutive seats of the same row.

I will link to a map of the theatre's seating from the purchase page so you know where you are buying your tickets. And as I mentioned before, I will give at least one week's notice before opening ticket sales.

Mostly, yes. Each ticket will still need to be linked to an ACen badge, so additional information will be needed to purchase multiple tickets.

No. All seats will be assigned - there will be a row and seat number on each ticket. These will be assigned automatically after purchase. The earlier your purchase, the more front and center your seat will be. Tickets purchased together (by adding badge information to each additional ticket purchased) will be assigned sequential seats in the same row.

I am a little sad that this concert will not be free like previous concerts but I do like that this will be at a professional venue. I imagine the seating will be better and people won't be forced to stand which will be awesome. And these ticket prices are not all that bad considering everything.

Also - and I know this may not be the best place for this question but, will the "no bags/no props" rule that normally applied to concerts in the Hyatt be in effect here? I ask since this is away from any of the rooming provided, people may need their bags for general things such as room key, phones, etc.

Quick question, for those who received their weekend badges from the Distant Worlds concert (roadshow) in December, will we be able to purchase the Kalafina concert tickets online as well? If so, how because I don't think we have log account information to log into the ACen website. So I suppose the other question could be, do you just need an ACen account to purchase the concert tickets or do you need to have an account that has a payment/ purchase history for a 2013 ACen weekend badge?

I see no reason why that rule should apply to this concert.

You need to have an account with a purchased badge on it to be able to buy a ticket for the concert. For on-site and roadshow registration, you should receive an email with instructions for accessing your registration account at the email address you provided when you registered. If you haven't, send registration (registration@ACen.org) an email and they should be able to help you.

Don't get me wrong, I am really happy that Anime Central is utilizing the AKOO Theatre as a concert venue, and really happy about Kalafina, but not so much about the extra charge or the way this is being executed.

When will tickets go on sale, and how we we be notified? I'd hate to miss out on this because i'm not connected to social media 24/7.

Yeah this. Not to mention...A-X badges in years past have gone upwards of $80-100. A ticket to see Kalafina in Japan is easily worth more than the total price we're paying for the badge and ticket.

For me, the tickets ended up being less than I was expecting period. As long as I get to see them, not complaints for me!

and a lot of time, it's not only the way the con wants to handle things, but the way the company overseeing the guests wants things done.

Yeah, paying extra for Kalafina is not a big deal. AX has been charging extra for a lot of things, on top of a badge that's already way more expensive than ACen's in the first place.

If you think paying an extra $20-$30 is asking too much, just skip the concert.
