Does anyone recycle? Just wonder about bits left over

I was wondering if anyone recycles left over cosplays parts or even old cosplays? If so, what do you do to recycle them?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "parts", but I usually turn most uniform cosplays into formal attire. Usually blazers with a dress shirt work really well, but it doesn't work with every blazer/shirt combo. I have some headphones that I modified for a cosplay, but they still work perfectly fine, so I use them casually. In some rare cases, there are weapon props or armor pieces that can be modified or repainted by adding or taking away details to it to turn it into a new costume piece, but I haven't done anything like that yet...

On the flip side, I had a graduation tuxedo and I used a few pieces from it to piece together a genderbent cosplay of a female character.

This thread would have probably been better off in the cosplay areas of the forum.

I save all materials that are in good reusing order. But that is as far as i go in terms of recycling. I cant bring myself to dismantle old cosplays for material. I'd rather sell or refurbish them and keep them whole. Does that count?
