This looks interesting and i'm always up for having a good time with drinks being involved.
This will be my first ACen con so i wouldn't mind meeting some new and awesome people. So count me in.

I just got my badge, so SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I get to meet you guys! Like many other people, this is my first ACen, and as a bonus, my first venture beyond my suburb of chicago that I've really done anything with! I moved up here for my job in January, but I haven't done anything yet in the area. I went to downtown chicago once to see things like the shedd aquarium, but the lines were so long that I ended up not going to the aquarium and just walking around to the navy pier and back(to where I parked, lol).

Well when you join us, you'll definitely get a taste of nightlife in the burbs. MB Financial Park is becoming a hot spot now that more people know about it (it's been open about 1 year now). Once those shopping outlets stores open up nearby, the place will be even more crazy.

There's over a 100 people who claim they're going to be there. How big is this place?

The place is fairly big. Should be able to house that number if not more. It'll be pretty interesting to see if everyone shows up and with extras too possibly... Place gonna be bumpin'

It will truly give new meaning to the term "meet & greet". Might as well call it "party of the year" B)

Folks should try the CHEESEBURGER SPRING ROLLS!

Yes, they are insanely good. You can thank me at the event after you've had them.

But do they have some kind of crazy food challenge thing I can use as a warm-up for the Hellfire challenge?

I am glad I came about this post as I'm going Solo and this is my first year at ACen and for cosplaying. I would like to meet some people and not just wander around without knowing at least somebody. What peaked my interest more was that I saw somebody offering free beer if I could beat them at bowling. Beer is always better when it's free.

Not at King's itself. Not sure any of the places around there have something like that.

I hope this isn't TOO big...or at least I'll find a group to hang out with. I mean, I'm used to small parties, and I'm much more comfortable with a small group of friends, rather than a massive group session.

That being said, I never was comfortable enough to go to raves. Most of them seemed to deteriorate into garbage, and it doesn't exactly sound like it's getting better. I don't know, so maybe one of you could elaborate.

Although, a party of 100 people clogging up traffic in cosplay? Sounds like we should do a flash mob somewhere.

The place is large and SHOULD be comfortable enough haha. I don't think everyone will be in cosplay but if you do plan on it, please check out the venue's website to make sure your cosplay falls into their specified dress code. They were made aware that people would be in cosplay but I would caution people as to avoid having be turned away at the door for not following one of their guidelines.

No official eating challenges in the area besides Shoeless Joes unfortunately. People can invent their own from the menu I guess!

I'm not very good at the eating challenges. I don't like to gorge myself, lol. Maybe that's why I keep a slim figure? I don't know though...apparently people are surprised at how much I can put away.

So how many people are going? Do we even hit the limit of the establishment? Since I never bowled before I will take on that challenge for a free drink.

Is this better or worse than drinking an entire boot? I dunno...both of them are rather large, lol.

I'm getting excited too! I've got a month to brush up on my cosplays, and I might do another one that's kinda simple that's casual! Izayoi from Problem Children. Blue school uniform? Casual AND cosplaying. :D

The fishbowls are pretty much all liquor and are quite large in size. Super tasty drinks though! The Tropical Tango is my favorite.
