Is there ever a Studio Ghibli gathering for the movie characters?

I'm going to be San from princess mononoke and i just wanted to know

If there are enough people that show interest you should line-up a photoshoot. I will be there as San, Princess Mononoke, one of the days, I'm sure.

I debated a Howl and Sophie group, even Arrietty, but I am also tempted to create a Nausicaa. I hope others want to join in the Ghibli shoot...I'd love to see other Miyazaki creations come to life.

Yeah! I don't think my skill level is up to par to make her cat princess dress and her uniform is adorable.I'd love to make/get a Baron or Muta plushie to carry around.
There's always so many awesome Mononoke and Spirited Away cosplays at ACen. It's really cool to see, and a photoshoot would be amazing.

My friend and I are going to attempt finishing our Howl and Sophie costumes in time for ACen. If there ends up being a photoshoot, we'll try to make it there.

Lets start talking about photoshoots.

First, the day...
How does Friday sound for most people? I know Friday works for me, but we want it to work out for as many as possible.

Next, What time?
I know a lot of people don't arrive at the convention until Friday and are stuck waiting in lines for parking, and for their badges, or checking into their hotel. So what time sounds good? We want to have decent lighting, especially if we are taking photo outside....so...4 pm maybe?

And finally, Location...
The tree patch is no longer allowed to be used for photoshoots, aparently, so we need to decide on a different location.

I am looking at the garden area for a Ghibi photoshoot with the east outdoor wall as a backup. (you can find picture of those locations in the link)

WE HAVE UNTIL MARCH 15 TO DECIDE. We must do so quickly, as many locationas and times will be unavailable soon.

The submission process is a bit different this year. They aren't 100% sure of any of the locations. I went ahead and sent in a request, but it sounds like they will be moving things around regardless of what we ask for. I apologize for any problems this may cause.

It sure seems like they plan to do a bit more moving around. It was almost easier when it was just done by individual groups and whoever claimed spots first got it...
Well if there's a decent chunk of time between this and the pokemon photoshoot I'll be coming. ( I'll be in a kimono for pokemon ,so I'll need a bit of time to change)
