However, are there people hosting a party at a hotel room on Thursday night, or are we reserving it for Saturday night? Only reason why I ask is because in the FL anime con circuit we always took over the hotels on Sat nights.

Anime Punch sometimes hosts a party on Thursday night, though thats not official for this year cause I have no idea whether or not they are even going. If they are FlyingElf will let people know. Even if there is, theres no need to worry, I'm sure there will be more than enough room parties on every night.
