Well, here we are in 2013 and the con is staring us down in May. Should we go ahead and do a third annual 21 and up meet and greet and eat and drink and be crazy?

The last two years we did the Shoeless Joe's gathering. If we do it again this year, which has gotten more attendance year over year, do we go back to Shoeless...or perhaps a barhop over at the MB Financial Park (which is closer, walkable).

I mention the barhop because of the multitude of establishments there (Five Roses Pub, Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar and Grill", Adobe Gillas, Park Tavern, and hopefully Hofbrauhaus) and the bowling alley as well.

In any event, are we back up for a 21 plus meeting up?

Though Shoeless Joes has served us well, we are learning towards Kings (in MB Financial Park) as possibly the next Late Night Meet & Greet spot. It is very large, it's the least crowded (so we can all actually socialize), has stuff to do (bowling, billiards, etc), has a variety of delicious food & drinks, and is within walking distance from almost every major hotel in the convention area.

People can bar hop if they want to but being in one location would work best IMO. The turnout to the late night meet & greet has been growing immensely and probably will be even bigger due to the proximity of so many ACen goers in the nearby hotels. Having such a large group moving from place to place would be difficult. There is still a lot of time until then but rest assured that it's going to be super duper fun!!

Oh man, can't wait. I don't have a preference for where we do this. Beat the burger challenge at Shoeless Joe's once already. Should save myself from death by meat overdose this time. :3

None of the places in The Park have any eating challenges unfortunately but perhaps Isamu can bring that hot/poison sauce again and people can challenge that!

Nothing is really official at this point, as far as I am aware. I believe this is the beginning of the planning stages. I wanted to get the discussion kicked off so there is time to plan and figure things out in advance.

Awww yisssssssss! If this is for sure I'm definitely coming! This year I promise to be more social lolita and less drunkenly-eating-a-burger-in-the-corner lolita. Though I am now convinced that that is the only proper way to enjoy a burger. Also, Illinois drink glasses are tiny, I might need to bring a glass from up here in Wisconsin. A giant one. Bigger than your head.

There's no reason not to go, especially if you're going to be in one of the hotels right near the convention center. You don't have to stay all night but check it out for sure!

I live right on the border between the two states and I really do not notice the differences between them. But, I will also bring one that is of good size.
