I. Rain Backup 1! Back Wall
II. Ladies and some gents, as you can see, there's a lot of glass. We can see up the stairs and up the sides of escalators. Not everyone has nice manners.
III. Rain Backup 2! Hook a right at the glass doors to the lower dome. This is ONLY in case of bad weather.

The Hallway Judging Office is in North Central A. This is located right next to the Rosemont Ballrooms on the Entry Level floor, tucked away on the right. You'll see it right next to a drinking fountain and a ladies restroom.

Remember, if you feel that cosplay should have more staffers next year, speak up! Come to the con feedback session or post in the feedback threads after the convention. I could always use people and their help!

- Please keep all of your Gangnam Styling, Harlem Shakings, and other various meme dances to the Dance Party Gathering on Saturday!
- We have nearly 200 gatherings scheduled and tight spacing/timing to do it in. Myself (Name is Willow, hi!) and Chris are the only 2 staffers to keep things in line. I’ve stolen the DH and ADH of ADA, Mary and Carole to help, but I don’t have them all the time. Help us and we’ll help you! We’ll come by, make sure everything’s ducky for time and space, maybe take pics, say hi, and run.
- Can we all agree to be humane to one another and let folks run their gatherings that they’ve spent months and countless hours preparing for? I will not tolerate anyone trying to take over anyone else’s gathering again. Especially if you say you’re ‘helping out’ staff. If I don’t know about it, I can guarantee that I will still hear about it from quite a few people who will not be happy.
- If you’re at the loading docks or garden and there’s rain, go inside to the convention center lobby. If you’re on the Hyatt side, head in to the back wall or lower dome.
- For the nitty gritty post: Ladies! We’re stressing, right? Of course we are! It’s finals time! We have ONE WEEK till con. Our bodies? Pssh. I’m leaving emergency mother nature supplies (both pads and tampons) up in the EMRT’s office if you’re caught unawares.
- For anyone using any form of body makeup: Pleasepleaseplease! Seal your makeup. It does come off. It smears, it smudges. We -are- looking at a high possibility of rain. I don’t want to see you melting. Cornstarch and baby powder are cheaper, temporary alternatives, as is Aquanet hairspray.
- I don’t want to have to post the Stank Police posters.. so remember to shower, eat (sugar doesn’t count), sleep, and keep a small amount of funds on hand in case of emergency. ACen is huge, we boast nearly 25,000 people a weekend.. you -will- crash. Remember your meds, remember to hug your mom this weekend, remember to nail those finals… and remember to have fun!
- And don’t forget! If you have a smartphone, we have the Guidebook app that’s updated all weekend!

Ran the Homestuck meetup last year. Planning on running it this year as well. As far as times and locations and such go, well, I think it goes without saying that my group can be a bit unruly and sizable if nothing else. I'm looking forward to an open discussion with con staff as far as what worked last year, what didn't, what needs to stay the same, and what needs to change.

Group: Supernatural photo-shoot
Preferred Location: the loading docks
Preferred Time: Afternoon or early evening (any time between 2PM and 5PM would be fine.)
Number of Participants: 10-20

I won't be taking any submissions through this thread. Sorry, but it gets way too cluttered. Sorry to have this be a little later than desired (You try getting an 8 year old who is excited about their big cosplay AND Christmas break to bed. Dare you!).. so I'm going to say keep an eye out around 11:30 Central time. No need to rush, February 15 is the deadline.

The awning is the little alcove under the tower just behind the tree patch. If you've been around in years' past, it's usually a rain escape. We don't have maps up yet, since we're still waiting on approval for everything.

Possibly the Lower Dome. I have no idea why yet..I'm assuming it's because of the hotel's love of sticking tables where they can, but don't quote me on that. Under the tower awning is entirely gone as well for the same reason as the tree patch.

It's kind of difficult for people to submit photo shoots if we don't know what locations are available. This is rather frustrating. I suppose that the hotel is being restrictive because of "issues"?

Okay, so for those of us that entered the Tree Patch or the Tower Awning as options, what's to happen? Will we be reassigned, and how soon will we know where our location is? How soon will we know exactly which locations that are certain to be omitted other than the Tree Patch?


The lack of information is kind of frustrating for folks who are submitting gatherings, or who have submitted them already.
I know your only one person right now, but this is kind of important to cosplayers.

BTW, when do submissions close? .

Look, I don't want to be a pain in the rear, but it's February 12, three days until submissions close, and we still don't have a listing of what areas (other than the tree patch) are no longer options.

Can we have an update please, or ask for the submissions to be extended?

Since we're getting close to the deadline, I was wondering if we could also get an updated list of what has/hasn't been submitted yet? There's one photoshoot that I'd like to attend if not run but there's not been a topic on the forum and I'd like to know if someone else has submitted something for it yet or not.

Also, I just submitted a photoshoot where I wasn't the person who began the topic- I submitted it since I didn't want the request for the photoshoot to go unfulfilled since the person who started the topic hasn't logged on for quite a while now. I'm willing to run it, hope this can be accommodated...

I submitted on for Sword art online and need to back out. Im currently looking for someone to replace my lead. If not, i can try to make it and help out. As for the gurren lagann group, we decided on a possible new time and would like to resubmit it.
