Question about badges

Hi! 2013 will be my first year going to ACen and I just have a question about the badges. My regular convention I go to every year is youmacon (in michigan) and in addition to their regular 3 day badge, they offer a special badge called a 'platinum badge' where you pay extra for priority seating/first entry into all of the main events. I was wondering does ACen offer anything like this? I saw no mention of it on the main page, but I just wanted to check and make sure since I've heard conflicting accounts from ppl saying ACen does offer something called a VIP badge (or something) which is just like the platinum badge at youmacon? is that true? did I just register too late to be able to get one?

Anime Central does not have a VIP or Priority badge. We only sell regular badges. We do have events sometimes that require an additional ticket to enter like the Crystal Ball, but otherwise everyone who has a badge has equal chance to attend our events with no priority seating.

What you could have heard regarding VIP badges, is the mailed versus will-call. The mailed version is nicer and offers the opportunity to go straight into ACen events right when you arrive. So we suggest the mailed badge over the none mailed badge. It is up to you though :)

Thanks so much for responding guys! :) and I will definitely be getting my badge mailed to me! I was really glad to see that option available, especially considering the long drive from Michigan
