Same here.... Pretty much whether I attend ACen at all is contingent upon whether that last panel I was supposed to be on gets approved. Chicago is too far from Atlanta to justify going if I'm not on any panels.

We'll hopefully be able to power through a good chunk of it this weekend. Don't forget apps are still open, and if you are denied you can contact us to have your badge price rolled back to the tier price that it was when you applied.

Again we are full on Homestuck panels, I'm still seeing people applying with them, we already have our limit for them approved so any new applications for that topic will not be considered.

We will not be approving unrelated topics such as My Little Pony, Dr. Who, Star Wars, Adventure Time, American Comics, etc. American cartoons will only be approved IF they are strongly influenced by Anime or Japanese culture.

We've recently had panels apply as photo shoots. We don't host photo shoots in our panel rooms. There is a meetups and photo shoot section in the gatherings area of the forum.

Yes it falls under panels, no one has applied but we will ask around and try to find someone if no one applies.

Hey! I emailed panel programming a couple of weeks ago with this but I didn't receive a response (possibly my email ate it, it's been known to do so). I am interested in applying for a second panel, but my first one is still 'pending' so it won't let me. Is there any way I can get around this?

My first panel application was for a general Hetalia fan panel (not the Ask-a-Nation or World Summit), and the second one I'd like to apply for is an Anime Name that Tune game show, which I have run at other conventions and would love to bring to ACen!

we just cleared the email a day ago. it may have gone to spam. try going to the contact us section of ACen.org and send a message to panel programming. since its the website that sends the message we'll always get those. It's working for some people, and not for others. No idea why but they're working on it. You can keep trying, if the form shows up then it's working. If there's no check box to agree to the panelist policy which triggers the form to pop open then it's not working for you. I'll post when it's fixed.

ok we believe the panels system is fixed! If you were unable to apply for a second panel before please clear your browser's cookies and try again.

If it continues please send us a screen shot by hitting the PRT SC (print screen) button on the upper right area of your keyboard, go into Paint or similar program, hit paste, save image, and send us that along with what browser you are using. This is how we would appreciate any glitches to be reported in the future, it helps us see what the issue is.

I replied to your email . I'm convinced that our email hates us.. which is why we ask people to use the ACen contact us form because it's guaranteed to deliver to us and not go into spam or whatever black hole of abyss lost emails go into.

The emails that remain atm are requests to add panelists, description changes, and time requests. If your email didn't contain any of those we don't have it.

Hi! Sorry to slightly necro this topic, but I wanted to ask a question at nearly the 11th hour. It sounds like there's a fair amount of panels still listed as "pending." Will the panel submission deadline of March 1 be extended for panel revisions/resubmissions if decisions come out after Mar. 1?

Yes, if you applied before March 1st and need to revise your application we will allow you to do that. As long as changes are done before April 1st, and before we're full. We're also looking at extending the deadline by about a week since we had a few glitches with the application this month that made it hard for some people to apply.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but: when will currently-approved panels receive room assignments and times? Do you wait until all applications have been processed/all panels approved and denied?

We will be releasing a pre-lim schedule ahead of the convention for all panelists to check/verify and let us know any changes. We cannot give a definite date but pre-lim scheduling has already started on our end from an organzational standpoint. Anything public is still going to take a bit to get setup for everyone. We need to verify event space, room assignments, double/triple check all the rooms/tech etc will be available as requested by Panelists etc. Lots of pieces have to come together as well internally too. We appreciate the patience as always from all of our Panelists.

Everyone so far has been scheduled inside of their requested panel times so to be moved the panelist needs to give a good reason why, like it's at the same time as a panel their helping on, an event their in, etc. But we're pretty much sure there are no conflicts so far as long as the panelists filled out the conflicts part of the application properly.
