Every hotel sold out thursday night?

Okay I've tried every hotel listed for con and I've gotten the same story.

Nothing available Thursday at the rate but available for all the other nights.

How on earth can this be when some of these blocks haven't been open 3 weeks? Doubletree says best rate for thursday night is $599 and Hyatt is saying $229. That is not okay. Can there be more rooms added so I can make my reservation or am I out of luck 3 weeks into the release of the rooms? I don't want to make a reservation then have to modify because I have been burned in the past over how things are switched around.

At this time we are currently working on increasing the room blocks available for ACen '13. Once these blocks are available, we will make updates to the forums and ACen.org.

I'm assuming that once more rooms are made available I could modify my reservation (much as I hate to do so) and if I had problems doing so in the future who would I have to contact?

Jebus. I almost had a heart attack when I went to reserve my room.

Any updates on this? I am still unable to make the changes to the reservation. I would prefer not to pay over $250 for Thursday night.

i would also like news on this specifically for the hyatt.
