Not going to ACen... man this feels weird

Okay, well this isn't 100% certain yet, I may change my mind, but I'm not planning to go to ACen this year. It's so expensive and I'm in college now, and saving up for study abroad. Between that and how disappointed I've been in ACen's guest list for the past few years, I just can't justify it. If guest relations actually steps it up this year and gets someone I want to see, I will change my mind and get a room, but that isn't likely. It feels weird to not go, especially since that weekend is after my finals so I technically could, but it just seems like the smart thing to do. This con has been like home to me for years, though, so this isn't easy. That said, skipping it to save up for my study abroad, and to possibly go to Otakon someday, just seems like the right answer now.

I'll miss you guys.

You have your priorities in order. That's always a plus. (I understand the guest thing, tho they had Masashi Hamauzu there last year. There are no many people I want to see more. Lol) Hopefully you can find a way (if you find interest)

that sucks, but it seems like a lot of the 'veterans' of ACen are doing the same.

aw, mary! I'll miss you if you don't go but you have your priorities straight and that is fabulous! You've always wanted to go abroad and it definitely holds more importance than ACen! Let me know when/if you ever can make it to Otakon! I'll try to make it out east again and hang with you! :)

I thought about doing the same so I can study in Japan/Russia one day (maybe,) or the UK due to personal reasons.
ACen 2013 Cosplay:

Well for the ones of us that arn't going to ACen at least we still have the christmas card exchange coming up soon.

...Ahahaha I just can't stay away, can I? My boyfriend and a couple of his friends expressed interest and now I have a DoubleTree room booked. This is my willpower.
