had the top of my dress almost done and my sewing machine decided to "nest" on the bottom and clog up the housing area for my bobbin what a mess hoping its just becuase i wound the bobbin wrong because i think the nearest sewing machine shop is 45 min away and i wont have a vehicle till march.

Oh ouch , yeah I kept having trouble where mine would bunch on the bottom. You should be able to take the face plate off and see if you can unnest it yourself ( maybe look online for suggestions and such)

issue one= Wrong needle size i was using a singer 2020 i need a singer 2045 80/11
issue two= machine needed to be oiled i had metal shavings inside the machine when i went to clean it
issue three= it needed a good cleaning
issue four= bobbin didnt wind correctly

0.0 anywho i was able to succesfully sew the top now to start on the skirt.

p.s. my wig came today along with the surprise part of my costume still got some supplies i need to pick up at hobby lobby, home depot and radio shack. then i will have everything necessary to complete my costume along with props

Well is sounds like you're making good progress then
I've been a bit lazy the last two days. I've got so many different projects going on right now. I probably should rotate them.

well i spent about two hours gathering nine feet of fabric into 42 in while watching the matrix and my trial resin casts came out so beautifully that they will be used in the crown.

So i bought the chibi wig from arda-wigs knowing that it was a half inch to small for my head im going to try and do some adjustments to the wig cap itself if it doesnt work anyone have an suggestions for a wig that is easy to put into pig tails. I do know that i will need to sew in wefts im looking for a silver or white wig any help would be appreciated.

she fits for the most part got to pick up wig pins from sallys beauty supply because my bobbypins arent strong enough and possibly hair chalk for the hair line that likes to randomly show in the back

I still need to figure out what I"m going to do for the the broach on Sailor V
and do the other things for her outfit like the gloves....

Sculpey for your broach?
thats what im making my crown/tiara out of, or you could do a resin cast theres a bunch of tutorials on youtube on how to cast resin and you can color it to the color you need by buying the dye.

just ordered my contacts this morning i will be wearing the wig to anime milwaukee next weekend gunna end up closet cosplaying and hopefully with the rush order on the contacts they will get here in time for that.

I'm not sure if I could make a nice broach out of sculpty ; and I'm not sure I'm ready to work with resin yet. I"m hoping to find an easier solution .;

i dont think i will get them in time for anime millwaukee, bummer... but at least i have them ordered now lol

resin casting is a bit pricey to start up but relatively easy once you understand it and you really only need epoxy resin,mold,mold release and pigment its cheaper than buying the big can of it lol. just as long as you do it in a well ventilated room >.<

anyway i got some awesome spoils at AMKE a sailor moon blanket which is super soft, luna plush, luna backpack{ish}, BUTTONS (i love collecting buttons) and an original sailor moon stamp set from 1996 very rare never opened.

im going to try and save my wig but um it didnt hold up very well at AMKE and i think i have hair coming out of the stub underneath the odango O.O and i cannot get it to untangle. So yea another 60 for the wig supplies

I've submitted a second Sailor Moon group for Sunday at 12:30, due to guessing they everyone's posting for a saturday shoot. Due to having 4 cosplay, I am hoping that a second shoot gives those Sailor Moon cosplayers who also have other fandom shoots at -more then likely- an overlapping time (It happens to me every year) a chance to get with a group. I'm part of a small Sailor Moon Steampunk group.

nope first time ive ever worn them i have to put the left on in first even though they say to start with the right. By the time i got the first one in it burned and made my eye water like crazy cause it had gotten dry.

your best bet is to talk to your optometrist about colored lenses in your prescription make sure to be specific on what you want hope that helps

Saturday is usually the day to do it because for those 1 -dayer convention fan goers ,that's the day they go. It gets the most amount of people that way. Then again it also depends on people's decisions on which is most important photoshoot to attend. That's why I usually stick to one cosplay a day till I have a better idea when the cosplay photoshoots are and then just add more if it's possible.

I can't believe it's so hard to find plain white elbow length gloves that aren't shiny. I was hoping I could just buy some and add the colored fabric at the end....
