So I believe the submission date is tomorrow , so 11am on Saturday in the dome ( preferred)or East outer wall is good with everyone?
It's always hard to know how they will have the dome set up , But I think the staircase provides a good way to show off the costumes of a lot of people well.

Well i went and changed my costume idea price wise i just cant swing a Tron costume for ACen 2013 so im remaking my Princess Serenity it was my first cosplay but i think i will be doing the manga version. its so pretty and im thinking of altering the design just a lil.

my wig was a learning lesson lol especially with the odangos but even though my first wig started to fall apart halfway through my first con it was my favorite part cause i stuck a bunch of white flowers in it to hide my mistakes XD.

anywho i noticed someone sounding off about the steampunk sailors dude heck yea do it that would be sooooo coooool.

Oh I was thinking of doing her anime princess outfit for sunday ,do you have any tips for the wig? I was thinking of just buying a prestyled wig.

Charmedseed has two amazing tutorials to work off of. I used them the last time i did my wig moon wig and improved moon wig. just depends which route you wanna go. because im going to be doing the white/silver wig i have to use the first tutorial because sadly the wig she used in the second tutorial doesnt seem to come in those colors. even though i think the second tutorial is much much easier than the first.

just found out my mom has a serger, it may be old and not cut the extra fabric off but omg that saves me like $200 some dollars on equipment

I recommend trying to find a similar pattern to her dress.

I'm probably going to do a zipper up the back for the top and gather it where I place the beads and I"m going to have a separate skirt underneath the shorter top.

im doing it without a pattern, i brainstormed with my mom on the build for this the skirt part is ridiculously easy and so is the top once i get all of my materials im going to create a tutorial that can be used for all version of the princess serenity/neo queen serenity and what one would have to do to create Queen Serenity along with some prop tutorials. cause honestly i can find awesome tutorials for the sailor scout outfits but not a single thing for these costumes.

I can officially be confirmed for Neo Queen Serenity found my wig supplier and fabric suppliers

just finished buying all my materials yesterday still have to pick up supplies for the staff all though still have no idea which staff is neo queen serenitys lol and now i just need to get a dress form so i can start sewing WEEEEEEEEEE

I started working on my Sailor V outfit , I was curious do you guys gather your skirts or pleat them? I feel like gathering actually keeps it's appearance better than when I attempted to pleat a skirt (and ironed the heck out of it to try to make it stay). So curious which you guys think I should do.

Also had one of those " you mean there's different versions ?" moments when I noticed Sailor V sometimes has sleeves and sometimes not.

pleats are a pain in the butt especially if you arent using the correct fabric cause certain fabrics hold pleats better than others. So if you feel like gathering would be the easiest for you and it also looks better then gathering your is the thing to do.

Yup I've started mine!
I've got the base of the top done. I've just gotta do the collar(which I hope to get done tonight), the shoulder guards , and bow
I've got the skirt mostly done , just need to add a ribbon and the butt bow.(possibly a waist band)
I still also gotta get the gloves, make the choker, mask ,wig and find suitable shoes. Oh and maybe buy an artemis plush and make a mini Sailor V plush to carry with me.

I've got most of the materials for the Princess Serenity dress but I probably won't start it till I'm done with more of the Sailor V outfit.

yeah I"m waiting to finish the bows closer to the convention (one because I need to figure what will be the broach and two I'm not sure if I'll need to make adjustments to the skirt because of weight change.
