Watch people in the ever changing crowd who probably outside the con are very socially inept, yet are completely at ease in the con environment. And wonder as I sit there how many of them might possible be on the Autistic/Asperger spectrum. (Not just at Anime cons, but at other cons I've been to.)

Other then its in my blood its also a HUGE creative outlet, a place to show off hard work and get appreciation for it and (if I'm feeling all confident) perhaps win an award. Its also a place to meet new people, hang out with friends, and it's comforting to know you're surrounded by hundreds or thousands of like minded people

Though here's a less generic answer that I've not seen many mention: I like traveling. I live in Boston and I try and go to ACen and Otakon (in Baltimore, MD) each year, but sometimes it's not easy to do so, whether it be due to not being able to get time off from work, or $$. A friend and I plan on roadtripping it from where she lives in CT, to Baltimore for Otakon this year... should be fun if it all works out.
I've been to Anime Boston (2009-2012), Otakon (2009-2012) NYCC/NYAF (2010-2011) and ACen 2012 (I wanted to go back in 2006, and it would have been my first con instead of AB in 2009, but oh well).
As for buying things, I really only can afford stuff like a wallscroll here and there, and maybe some AA stuff, but the stuff I REALLY want I can't afford...
