Myself, it is the Hyatt as it offers the least amount of outdoor exposure and close to everything I need to be, con-wise.

I've only gone two years, but I don't see myself going anywhere besides the Embassy.

Even though I'm not right next to the convention center like the Hyatt is, I'd rather have a room that has a microwave and a fridge. Plus the free breakfast and the happy hour aren't bad perks either. ^_^.

The Hyatt. I've always been staying there and it's the center of all the action. Sure it may cost a little more and you don't get some of the perks like microwaves but it's worth it to be right in the middle of everything.

The Hyatt. my first year I stayed at the hotel formerly known as the Sofitel (the Hilton now) and even then I was a little upset to have to go where people looked at me funny just when I wanted to put away food or change clothes. When I stayed at the Hyatt, even with elevator issues and no microwave, I felt good to be in the middle of it all. If I wanted to step out of my room and just see all the cosplayers, I could without having to go too far. And no one stares at me funny because everyone is cosplaying. Basically, in the Hyatt, I get the full feeling of ACen being 24 hours.

For me it's the double tree or the embassy.

Not a party hotel and peace and quiet; also no hotel elevator crashes.

I have stayed at the Intercontentental, Double Tree and the Embassy.

InterContinental -3rd Choice the for looks.
Double Tree -2nd Choice for the free cookies and comfortable beds.
Embassy -1st Choice for the free breakfast and fridge.
I wish they modernize the whole Embassy, it looks so old.

My hotel of choice is the Embassy. Originally stayed at Hyatt, but got tired of elevator crashes, all night parties, and loud obnoxious neighbors. Plus the fact Embassy has nice, big rooms and free breakfast and happy hour doesn't hurt.

I've stayed at the Hyatt, the Embassy, Aloft and one other one that I don't remember the name of anymore, maybe it was the double tree.

But I prefer the Embassy above them all. It's super close to the con but it doesn't have the same crowds or anything as at the Hyatt.

After staying at ALoft last year, if I ever come back to ACen I won't stay anywhere else. very awesome staff, very comfy rooms, and overall great service. Plus, not a lot of con traffic.

The Embassy Suites without a doubt. I hated staying in the Hyatt because it was always really loud(the rooms aren't as sound proof as the Embassy), the rooms felt cramped and there was no microwave, fridge, or breakfast.

We're a room of Artist Alley folks, so our days consist of working. The calm environment is ideal for people not looking to party.

Also love that it's all balconies and no long hallways, less claustrophobic :)

I generally love the Embassy. But during con, I'm loyal to the Hyatt - I love having my room right there, especially on days when I'm worn out from a long shift.

Usually my friends and I prefer to stay at the Hyatt. Aside from the fact that it's less than an ant's kick away from the action (especially when I'm trudging back to the room after Soap Bubble), we've had surprisingly quiet neighbors over the years. However, the rooms have always been cramped, and with three cosplayers it can get even tinier.

There was one year I stayed at the Doubletree, and the room was lovely, but it was a bit of a walk (and the fire alarm went off). And then there was 2007, when (purely by accident) I ended up at the OTHER Hyatt up the road. Never again.

This year, however, we're switching it up and staying at the Hilton. If all goes well, we may have a new regular hotel.

I've stayed at the Hyatt and the Aloft. I liked the Hyatt since it was all right there. BAM! in your face. We didn't have to use elevators since we were on the 2nd floor :P, so no elevator horror stories. The Aloft was very nice, and the shuttle to and from the convention center was a great perk. But really, the walk wasn't that bad. It didn't feel that far too me. Maybe just when it was chilly at night..brr! But I'm staying at the Embassy this year, and it's still pretty darn close so excited to see what it has to offer. I hear the free breakfast is pretty awesome though.

That breakfast is pretty good. Lots of vareity but very heavy on the carbs...which is what you want for Congoing. I'll also be at the Embassy. Who knows.....maybe we'll bump into each other

They Hyatt is the choice for me- but mainly because I like to be at the heart of the action. (Also, its easier to stumble into my room at night! lol) I've never stayed at any of the other hotels. I was thinking maybe next year I'll try the embassy- but not sure.

We're trying the Embassy for the first time this year - I'm excited!

I've previously stayed at the Hyatt, which was all right, but a bit cramped and a bit busy, and the Crowne Plaza, which was excellent - more spacious, and the staff were absolutely awesome. I'd wanted Embassy last year but booked too late, so that's what we got this year. If we like it, we'll probably stick with it, but if not we'll probably book Crowne Plaza again next year. I hope it's as nice as it sounds, though!

I live less then 10 minutes away so I didn't stay on property my first year but last year we stayed at The Doubletree and this year we are staying at the Marriott Suites just a short walk away from the con. I like hotels that give free breakfast but couldn't get Embassy this year.

Since I wasn't able to reserve a room til late b/c of when I got my new job (no more working weekends!), it seems the only hotels left are Comfort and Crowne Plaza. And seeing as how there seems to be a weird glitch with Comfort's site, I opted for CP. Sure, it's more expensive, but I'm hoping to have at least 2000, maybe 2500, saved up by the con date ;)

I normally go with the Hyatt since I like to be in the thick of things and I tend to go to a lot of late night programming (...and raves...), but this year I almost didn't go and wound up deciding to last minute, so I booked the Doubletree since the Hyatt was full. We'll see how I like it comparatively.

Speaking of Crowne Plaza, can anyone here tell me about the airport shuttle schedule? I've heard it's 24/7, but does it come to and from the hotel every 15 min.? 30? Is there a CP shuttle also for the convention center, or is that just for Hyatt & Aloft? And what would be the best choice for a cab in the area (looking for a co. name, specifically), if I felt like going somewhere a little 'out of my way' for dining or whatever? ^_^/> How far is the nearest White Castle, btw? I'm really planning on buying a Crave Case the Friday night I get there, probably after I partake in some late-night con festivities. hehe! :clap:/>

Last but not least... why the hell does Aloft not have a website? Lol! Is it super new or something?
I might've roomed with them for cheaper, but I'm NOT gonna deal w/ making reservations over the phone and the extra hassle that comes with live crap. Much easier to just get it done online ;) I prefer automated all the way (self-checkout, email, u name it).

over the years, I've stayed the the Aloft, Embassy, Hyatt, Hilton, and a few others. Due to comfortable suites(sweets), outstanding customer service, and a bar that carries my brand of scotch, Aloft is my hotel.

Embassy, definitely.
Mostly because of the spacious rooms but also because the staff I encountered were all nice which, considering other hotels, that's a HUGE bonus for me.

I would have to say the Hyatt..
Seeing all the cosplays and hearing the liveliness is one thing because I love action and adventure since I don't get a lot of it.
switching from a quiet hotel to a loud hotel is something since its a great adjust to my ears.
Not having to travel far just to do things is also great since the Hyatt is very close to the convention center.
Though the wait and elevator problems is a pretty bad thing I can still see cosplay 24/7 and I love the feeling of not being judged at loving anime, manga, and cosplay and having more of..people with similar interests to me.
Even though all the other hotels I've gone to are great. No matter if they are adjusted with the con or not.
