Booking 'fancy' suites...

I've heard talk about people getting the fancier suites-- more beds, ect, ect.

My group and I wanted to look into these options, but we really have no clue where to start. These rooms aren't listed on website, and calls to hotel 1-800 numbers have turned up no answers.

Has anybody gotten these suites before? Or know...how to get them? I understand the go quickly, so I want to be prepared for Saturday. ;D

I would like to know this, too. We have quite a few new members to our club and we've been thinking a suite might be the way to go. The past couple of years we've found that the regular rooms just don't seem large enough for us and our stuff anymore, and from the images that I've found on the Hyatt website, they look pretty spacious...

I know for Furfest(at the same hotel) you have to send them an email requesting one and then they call you back to set it up. Just curious if we have to do something similar or if we can just call.

I have a friend who just got a suite last night.

If you want a suite, you need to call the hotel. Don't try online or email - call. That will be your best chance of getting one.

We have called, and it seems like they never know what we are talking about. My husband called Thursday, and he got bounced around to 4 different people--and the eventual answer he got was "we don't know". :\

Actually, suites were available through this link.

You had to only put 1 to 2 guests but they were all reserved within the hour.

When I looked on there it only showed one type of suite when the Hyatt has 5 different types. So I don't think all of them were available through there.

At exactly 12am, they had the "Plaza/Regency", "Panoramic", and "Deluxe" suites available on the website. VIP suites weren't listed.
The Deluxe's were fully booked at about 12:05am
The Panoramic's were fully booked at around 12:15am
The Regency and Plaza suites were maybe fully booked within the hour. (Big room with bed. Kinda like a studio apartment.)

Got it. So I can safely classify the suites at the Hyatt for ACen in the same category as unicorns. Thanks for the update though.

Did anyone manage to book a VIP suite? How and what time were they fully booked?

I would guess that the VIP suites were not opened up for reservations, as ACen would keep those for guests.

Except they don't as I've been to several parties in them several times and they've always been reserved by regular attendees. So at least some of them are let out.

Anyone want to trade their VIP suite for a Deluxe suite AND a double-bed room?
You'll be saving a lot of money for not that much less space.
