My family and I will be cosplaying Bleach this year! I will have a 2 month old little girl who will be cosplaying as Yachiru and my husband will be Kenpachi, carrying her around I will probably be going as Orihime, but I haven't decided fully yet on my costume. We are very excited!

I am still losing weight so my poor cosplay closer to ACen will have to be altered to fit again. That is the good news. Bad news, I won't be thin enough to play the other characters I want to but one thing at a time!

Hi, all! Last year I was the Byakuya at the Saturday shoot with the shikai Senbonzakura; my friend was the Vice-Captain Rukia who directed both shoots. She says it was a blast, but this year someone else will have to hold the reins.

This year I'm bringing back Byakuya (he's needs a little fixing, though). And then on Saturday I'll debut Espada Nel Tu. My friend is returning as Rukia with the Sode no Shirayuki I made her, and...we might have a whole group this year, actually. One is going to try to come to ACen (he lives across the country), and if so he'll most likely be Soi Fon. Then we have another friend who plans on coming as Espada Zommari LeRoux (and believe me, I am BEGGING him to come). It'll also be their first time at ACen/cosplaying period, so...*cackles* ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

I'm also the prop person in the group, so assuming that everyone will be able to make it, I have a LOT of work to do over the next four months:

--a new version of Senbonzakura (resin and LED lights will be involved)
--a plushie Ambassador Seaweed
--Nel Tu's Gamuza (just the sheath and hilt)
--Zommari's Brujeria (I want to make the blade all twisty, too)
--Zommari's bone necklace
--Soi Fon's Suzumebachi

This on top of the Sealing Wand I'm making for my Sakura cosplay...I'm totally masochistic. (I mean, the plushie's optional, but I REALLY want to make it...)

Yay, I saw the gathering submissions open.

Well, Bleach is almost always a big gathering so a Fri/Sat set-up as usual. I'm guessing Friday at 3 PM, Saturday at 1 or 2 PM (since Saturday's always the big day, both of them at the Right Loading Docks (the one closest to the Expoteria). Yay or nay, everybody?

EDIT: Lynnie, are you running the shoot this year or did you want someone else to do it?

Yeah I'll be returning as rukia. i hope i can get that chocolate stain out of my gloves. and i need to get new straw sandals. i won't cheap out this time. twas why you saw me in gym shoes on saturday shoot. here's hoping it won't be cold so the rangikus of the world won't be freezing their assets off.

and i say yay to the timing and dates. consistency is key. oh maybe, i can finally get my sis to do nanao. and if her ex is coming, i may offer to help him do a bleach cosplay. he's got facial hair kinda like kyoraku...we'll see. they plan on doing some other costumes so i hope those shoots don't cross.

i really want to get pics this year too! and i hope fanservice renji will make another appearance. let me know if you guys didn't get to see the video he posted from last year.

Okay, so here are the times and location I submitted: (Final decision contingent on ACen staff)

Friday: 3-4 pm (one hour), Left Loading Docks (not too early so Friday latecomers can get a chance to come, but also keeping in mind Friday evening events)

Saturday: 1-2 pm (one hour), Left Loading Docks (a little earlier, so as to try and not interfere with potential schedule)

And for anyone who doesn't know, the Left Loading Docks is the concrete area outside the con center, across from the Hyatt and right next to the Expoteria.

I don't know if it was the LEFT loading docks exactly, but yeah it was around that area. It was a little chaotic on Saturday because we were at the loading docks first, then we moved to the con center fountains because it was so cold. DX

It was freezing last year! DX I'm pretty sure my toes were frozen until I got back to my hotel.

Yay. I hope you can make it, DJ Llij. Meanwhile, my Zommari dropped out (he's still coming, he just won't be cosplaying). ;__; But I think our Soi Fon/Yoruichi's still on board.

As for official updates, I just looked at cactusmomma's thread. She put up a list of all the submissions she got so far, and it looks like she got ours. I'm guessing we'll know our time and place for sure after the Feb. 15 deadline passes. She also put up a notice about someone last year going around pretending to be staff and messing with some of the gatherings, so be on the lookout.

Lastly, to cheer everyone up...guess what I made for my Byakuya cosplay?
