I've had rooms before at Aloft, Marriot, and both Hyatts and so far the best room I've had was at the Embassy. Last year we had a king suite and said we had 2 people in the room when really we had 6, so it was a bit of a hassle switching who got the tickets for the free drinks and breakfast. Next year I'm booking again and I was wondering if anyone had booked the quad room, which I'm assuming means you have 4 people in there, so would you get 4 tickets for drinks and breakfast then? Also does it cost more the more amount of people you add to room? Seeing as last year I booked two people so it'd be a double, and it was $185 a night with taxes, so for a quad I'd assume it'd cost more.

If you say you have 4 people then you will accordingly pay for the 4 person rate so then you should get 4 free drink and breakfast coupons. I was checking the Embassy site and you can book a room for up to 6 people. Usually the ACen group code discount is a better deal for groups of 4.

Do you know how much more it is though? If the room rate was $185 with tax for two people, would it be double that then?

Typically it is $10 a person after 2 people, so if you have 4 people it should be $20 more a night. I've had this happen in the past where I said I had 2 people and the hotel automatically switched my reservation to a single bed, when I really needed a double. Only happened to me once in all my years of going to hotels.

These were last years rates, I would expect them to go up probably 10 dollars.

Embassy Suites
Single/Double (King) $155.00 per night
Triple (King) $165.00 per night
Quad (King) $175.00 per night

Single/Double (2 Beds)$175.00 per night
Triple (2 Beds) $185.00 per night
Quad (2 Beds) $195.00 per night

Oh wow that's not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. That actually happened to us twice, first time at the Rosemont Hotel (which I think is Aloft now) we booked a double within the first hour of the room blocks being open, got to the counter on Friday after waiting in line for twenty minutes to check in and they gave us a room with one queen bed in it and told us we can buy roll out cots for $30 extra a day when we booked a room for 4 people >.< At the Embassy last year we had two people booked in a double room but we got a king at check in, but since the rooms are so big it comes with a queen pull out bed anyway so worked for everyone since we had like 6 people crammed in there lol.

One thing to keep in mind. IF the Embassy finds you have more people staying in the room than you stated at check in, i.e., you said there were 2 but you actually had 6, they can either charge you for the extra people or evict you from the premises, as you violated the terms of agreement you made and signed when you checked in. The only hotel that doesn't really seem to mind is the Hyatt. A lot of it has to do with fire code.

When we checked with the Embassy about max number of people, the only way they would let us go over 4 was if we were a family staying together, i.e., mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, kids.
