Question about hotel blocks opening Since I'm really new to the whole 'not doing it all last-minut

The other times I've gone to ACen it's always been a last-minute sort of affair, getting rooms in whatever hotel still had space. Since I'd actually like to do it *properly* this year, and I know hotels fill up crazy fast, I'm wondering - will we get some warning of when the room blocks will open, before they actually do? Or, oh noes, have I missed it already? T_T

Good rule of thumb:

If you haven't seen room blocks announced on the forum, you didn't miss em.

If you are subscribed to ACen's newsletter, it will say when the room blocks will begin. Someone (the person who is in charge of the Hotel Block) will say when the room blocks will be available on the forums. There is also ACen's main website as well for announcements.

I check the ACen website, forums and newsletter for when the Hotel Blocks start. That is how I know when the hotel blocks will start.

I told my sister/ACen roommate about how you guys are releasing the block on the 1st (as long as you have no setbacks, I take it) and she was impressed. We're use to waiting till about Nov-Jan for the block to open, so this is a major surprise!

Just remember, the Embassy block won't open until the Hyatt block is almost completely filled. So that could be Oct., Nov., or Dec. Stay tuned.
